So you were being sarcastic before when you said he wasn't our best player? Sorry if that sounds dense
7,
i think our squad is pretty stocked to be honest.
in defence and attack anyway
if we listed out all the players, we've got a vast array of options available to us. its midfield, the midfield 2 where we are a bit short.
Why would I be sarcastic? I feel his treatment of Mata was perfect no matter what anyone says. If Fergie or Wenget had done that it would have been labelled some sort of master stroke.
No players position is safe thats his motto.
Wish Gollum said that to Evra. The guy has been awful for 3 years and still starts.
It is way too early to evalutae him but i don't see any evidence as yet that he has lost his mojo..............he was always very agressive when it comes to using subs to change a game and we a couple of times this season he still is aggressive in this regard
But you said he 'wasn't even our best player'

Bourinho can do one. Same old same old media fawning over him like he's some kind of messiah. Jose wants to clamp down on divers and foul play when his own team of cants are some of the worst ever. Hypocrite Bourinho is back.

Bloody Hell ......who let the dogs out ...snarl ... ?
It's more your strike force than your midfield, I think your midfield (central to be precise and not including your no.10/AMC) is a bit weaker than Uniteds but your options at no.9 are quite frankly terrible for a title challenging side.
Overall the squad is a little weaker than Uniteds and City's to give it a value lets call City a 93 United a 91 and Chelsea an 88. Thats just off the top of my head but I guess that roughly reflects the difference I see in the overall squads, could easily be under judging Chelsea there though.....
But you said he 'wasn't even our best
player'

I said he is your best player. Look properly.
Maybe this borders on deluded optimism, but I think that we can get close to a whole season of decent form from Ba, Eto'o and Torres combined. We score a lot from defence and midfield as well which means that out 9 needs to play as an 11th man and less as a goalscorer

Best manager in the world
His treatment of Mata was amazing. Made the squad realize no one is safe. Not even their best player.
Should have got him instead of Moyes.

'Not even their best player'
Ah wait I get it now stupid of me... Can you see I was reading it the other way
ya so that means Mata is your best player and jose isnt scared to drop him. Do you have any problems comprehending?
7 i can see where you're coming from
but I think the number 10s we have are more than capable of scoring goals that our striker would normally score
mata, schurrle, willian, hazard, oscar plus our cbs score and ramires on the odd occasion coupled with lampard.
City have goalthreats from aguero negredo dzeko nasri and toure. the rest not so much.
for utd
i think only rvp rooney and hernandez are goal threats.
nani a little bit
valencia young carrick fellaini welbeck not so much.
I think City and United have the edge (purely in terms of goals) at no. 10 with Rooney and Aguero and obviously at no.9 but after that Chelsea have the better attacking midfielders certainly. I can't see them being as bad this year but there were probably defenders who outscored our entire midfield last year Rooney not being counted as a midfielder (which he was at times)
7, yep and i think that 88 rating you gave us above, with mourinho back i think he bridges the gap between chelsea, city and utd. imo
He pushes it up a little making for a close race, even though I do have Chelsea for 3rd it is only just and I can't see there being many points between all 3 of us. Unless one team gets into some blistering form I think we could all finish within 6 points of each other.
Yeah. I wouldn't write arsenal off yet to be honest
Mr Chelskii, you missed out Januzaj
I'm going to stick my neck out, and write off Arsenal.
City will probably win it this year. Next year will be he really exciting season.
Spurs will a fully blooded squad, Utd with Moyes a year into his tenure, same for Chelsea and City. Arsenal may spend big again in the summer.
Arsenal are my dark horses, had them down for 4th all through the pre season and early season before the Ozil signing as Arsenal get wrote off all the time and prove people wrong again and again.... Do think they will fall a bit short though 4th again I think....
And seen as I'm half way there.....
5th Spurs
6th Liverpool
7th Everton
8th Southampton
West something for the next 2 places, probably Brom then Ham.
I can't see how anyone can rate United's squad higher than Chelsea's. United have two great strikers, but after that it's pretty average. Some of the players that Jose has left in the stands for many of our games would walk into United's team. City's squad depth is untouchable though.
Swansea Ropey league adventure will be a distraction for them, they did kind of slip my mind though. Would possibly have them below the Wests, or in amongst them. Ill say 11th.
I can't be bothered to go through every single player but that's just my flawed opinion off an overall squad strength in numbers. What scores would you give City United and Chelsea?
