Well I sure as hell don't want Lampard and Gerrard to start.

Hazard will be amongst the worlds best in 4/5 years time along with Neymar. He wont be at Messi or CR7 level but that no one will for a long long time

You may well be right and in terms of talent I agree; but performance tells a different story.

Maybe I'm just bitter, a friend and I bet on the player of the year each season (not allowed to pick players from your own team) and I went for Hazard. I'm resigned to losing that bet!

I would as i said before id start Carrick behind them and Rooney, Sturridge and Welbeck in front of them....

though its never going to happen!

Hodge is bound to start Wilshere and Gerrard in midfield. Maybe a third midfielder, but doubtful if he plays both Rooney and Sturridge.

Hazard this season has been very much below par this year, though last season I thought he was excellent for us, if a little inconsistent. Oscar in the other hand has been brilliant this season.

I agree that is what he will do...but then ive never had any faith in Roy Hodgson anyway.. if he can be a professional football manager then so can i...

He is also going to play Welbeck and Milner on the wings. I guarantee it.

Guys the seasons has only just began. Hazard has been poor by his own very high standards but he has still been an effective player. Mark of a top class player plays like crap but still is getting the job done.

Agree with ya on all mentioned except Yaya Toure!
He is that good

Hazard should be among. No doubting his phenomenal talent but he's been as poor as Wilshere this season but people are too obsessed with Jack to notice.

Toure is brilliant. The amount of times he completely dominates games is unbelievable. The guy is one of the best midfielders in the world and best midfielder in the PL.

Hazard has been overrated since he's arrived. He was meant to be the next Ronaldo, just don't see it in him. Still a brilliant player.

and Ozil deserves all the hype he is getting, brilliant little player.

Makelele and Carvalho for me.

Carvalho was a great footballing defender but he was sometimes error prone. Terry and Gallas were favoured by Mourinho for a while (even though Carvalho was brought in by Mourinho). Makelele was a perfect fit for a defensive midfielder and a great reader of the game but his passing was erratic and had no attacking upside to his game.

Toure is probably better CM than Essien in his prime.

I AGREE 100% STERLING.

Hazard definitely has to be in this list.

I'd add wilshere......I know its gonna sound like spurs bias....

Yes.......if he can stay injury free he's gonna be a fine player.....

But he's not and never will be the saviour of English football......

Granted....media hype not his fault....

Hazarsd poor form this season is fairly easy to explain, firstly his game relied a lot on playing off of Mata last season and as we all know the two have not started together much this year so far. Secondly its his second season coming off the back of a decent opening season where he did on occasion show some unbelievable skill and ability, you would imagine defenders would target him a bit more and have more knowledge on his play.

Its one of the reasons i feel Oscar is doing so well as he managed to slip under the radar a little bit domestically last year
