My "Brentford" moment

nookie - I watched it on the haunted fish tank and remember it well.
I also remember Cloughie making himself look a total clown himself, saying things like " I take full responsibility for this result" and not being able to give any reason when challenged by the presenter (I think it was Brian Moore but I may be wrong there).
Tomachesvski had the game of his life that evening and on another day it could have been 6-1.
Because the Poles now cant qualify I am hoping that they come and play a more open game than most of the recent visitors to Wembley and so that I can watch a game where both sides are trying to win instead of the ususal ten men behind the ball that we see from most of Englands opponents.

Watched in live last night over here in Brazil, had it on the tele with Portuguese commentry and on the laptop with the British commentry. The Internet was about 20 seconds behind the tv, so knew the goals were coming a bit before the everyone in Blighty.
Just sat at home watching the match all over again now as I type, and it looks a completely different game, can't understand what all the fuss was about now.
Anyway, aside from Brazil, everyone here seems very happy England have made it. There seems much more fuss about England making it than any other team.
The commentators here are being very complimentary. Which is nice coming from Brazilians.

It is great to come across a nice brazillian.

Hound,

I think you will find that Marine, although a Rovers NUT, is not actually Brazillian, he just lives there.

newyankee maybe hound was not referring to the same sort of brazillian as you are.

Yes from Doncaster, follow all I can get hold of about donny rovers and spread the word to anyone who will listen. When the say Who, I show them the Copps hat trick in the playoffs. I also keep losing my Donny shirts that my kids bring out when the come to visit.
At least 100 more Brazzos know about Doncaster than before I got here, not many I know, but its hard being a one man crusade.

Marine if you are trying to convert them to Rovers, it may be a good idea to avoid The Legends greatest moments. There arnt that many. Hound don't bite.

I had a second biopsy last Thursday Hound. I am seeing the Doc tomorrow to get the results, I'll post an update then.

Hope all goes well at your end and you are back biting Mick's legs as usual.

I was there - surrounded by Poles - All passed off peacefully but I wonder what it would have been like if the result had not gone Englands way.
Perhaps I had too much to drink but I thought Rooney was awful in the first half and Baines and Townsend were our star performers - Could not believe it when Rooney got man of the match, I was at a Conference in Westminster Tuesday - Thursday and picked a ticket up from the FA for £45

Someone told me that at a recent Romania v Poland match there had been a lot of trouble between the fans.
Police deported 200 from each country back to England.
