Probably why he dropped him
Looks like Doyle himself understands the importance of scoring goals as a striker thankfully
http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/wolves-ace-kevin-doyle-holds-223374
Is this a serious article? Im confused
Alas no, its Cyps bizarre way of having a pop at some posters who have the audacity to suggest a striker should be scoring more goals than he does.
Its Cyp having a pop at the posters that don't watch games but criticise anuway cause some people on another site have done the same so it must be right
Perton goes to games, i watch the games, who do you mean
Thanks dj. Im glad I didn't go on a rant about what doyle brings to the team. Could have been embarrassing
Out of interest who wants Doyle dropped?
Wolfie has mentioned it and Kenny Jackett has actually done the dropping, otherwise everyone wants him in the team dont they?
I honestly don't see why anyone wouldn't want him in the team. He's the best player at the club and proved it again today
I don't think anyone who was there today or at the Sheff Utd home game and saw the difference Doyle makes would support Jackett leaving him out. Jackett better have learned his lesson.
And to suggest we play him out of position rather than in the position in which he has been our best player for the last 4 years is equally barmy
Is it though DJ, he is a very clever footballer and could well be brillaint behind a front two and provide us with even more of a cutting edge.
We simply don't know.
Brilliant double save from Henners just now on SSN
What are you talking about cinci? I accept you wont know but I have watched Doyle play in the region of 140 games live for Wolves and I feel that I do know what he is best at.
Whenever I read the drivel you write after each game you haven't seen I recall that after the one game I missed this season I didn't make one comment about it cause I didn't feel qualified to do so. People are different I guess
Oops, i see my mistake, i have given opinions on players based on games i have seen this season.......silly me
We are now in the realms of the insane, i now cannot form opinions on players i have seen play in a wolves shirt, when will the madness end?!?
You are a d^^^^head cinci
Never known a guy have such an obsession with making himself sound pathetic.
Haha, of course its me DJ.
I think the evidence above shows who the díckhead is, you continually criticise me for sharing my opinion, now that is pathetic
Didn't criticise your opinion and never have done. But you are too stupid to realise it. Bit sad really.
What I criticised was you saying 'we simply don't know' which isn't an opinion its just an inane and stupid comment.
Wonder how Peter Crouch would get on at left back. We just don't know. How would Messi get on as a defensive midfield player. We just don't know. Why don't Madrid ever play Ronaldo as a centre back. They just don't know do they cinci
Maybe if I wrote a smiley after every sentence it would be more in your compass? Did you only look at the pictures in your school books?
Haha, brilliant, so me suggesting a striker who does not score goals might be better playing behind a front two, is similar to placing random players in various positions.
Still not getting it cinci, try harder Let me write it slower for you. 'We simply don't know' is not an applicable comment for someone that I have seen play live 140 times. I know what he is best at
No, you know he is good as a forward, you don't know if he is best at it.
Either way, i doubt we will find out as KJ will not play with 2 strikers and Doyle.
Have to agree with Cinci on this one...his whole career has bemused me as Doyle has all the attributes of being the perfect player to play off the front two strikers rather than be a striker. Hes such a clever intuative player who links well with everyone and naturally covers every inch of the pitch...everywhere except waiting in the box.
Thanks for the comments, guys. The thread was indeed "tongue in cheek". How KJ can possibly leave Doyle out amazes me, although I understand that he will need to use him sparingly, especially after international weeks.
Wrap this guy in cotton wool after each game and unwrap him for the next match.
His impact yesterday was immediate and although he didn't score, Henry and Stearman did. Absolutely fine! We won another match and are 3 points closer to our goal which is promotion.
My next post is "Why hasn't JOH been made captain yet?"
