wjat johnstone said at the time re brown is spot on
Rangers agreed a deal in principle for him with thomson going in january and broon following in the summer for 3 million
celtic went in with their 4.4 million and hibs obs accepted it, they put it back to Rangers who rightly said, naw yer awright
Rangers won the SC in 1993 at parkheed, in fact it was the treble
the following season we won the LC final v hibs there, mccoist overhead kick
we then won the 1996 LC final v hearts at the new parkhead 4-3, mccoist wi 2 and gazza wi 2
i always find it nice that the last trophy the old parkhead seen was a Rangers win and the first trophy the new one seen was a Rangers win

The Challenge Cup is a trophy the club has never won and it would be nice to win it while the club has the chance to.
Its a bit like the old Cup Winners Cup, we are very proud to have won that trophy and glad we did when we had the chance, its a trophy some teams will never win now, and thats a nice wee thing to be able to say.
Challenge Cup is the same, be nice to say we've won it once, will be something to look back on in years to come and will be remembered fondly as the first trophy bagged after the hell of the whole admin debacle of the last few years.
Thats if we win it of course, its nt a major historical moment and a huge step for the club, but a cup win is always nice
"will be remembered fondly as the first trophy bagged after the hell of the whole admin debacle of the last few years."
I mean cup obviously, not league trophy
