Hi Peks, Ive been meaning to ask you something. Me and my mate were discussing the possibility of a liverpool dominance but we were mostly in agreement that given the money in the game, this was unlikely.
Obviously the exception to the rule applies to Italy, France & Germany but what we couldnt understand is why Barca have won 8 of the last 10 or is it 11 laliga title
That doesnt add up if you look at the wealth Real have!

farza have had a model of how to play from u7s to 1st team since the late 80s when cruyft arrived as manager
managers come and go, playing style stays v similar
that continuity has been v good for them
we'll see how they get on when messi goes though...i predict a much leaner time
Money can dictate a league, of course, but when it reaches a certain level it stops becoming that relevant. City may spend a lot more, but Liverpool, United, Chelsea and Arsenal still spend more than enough to build a squad capable of competing with them.
What you see more in other countries is the top team buying the best players from their rivals. Doesn't happen in this country, City couldn't buy van Dijk, Mane or Salah.

throughout the history of spanish leagu football, there have always been other clubs around to compete
the basque clubs in the early 80s, deportivo from the early 90s to mid 00s, atletioc and valencia at many points in spanish league history
