For me, if they want to make the FA Cup special, they should play rounds 3-6 in one month.
Obviously no replays, and league football suspended for the month (fixtures can be pencilled in for round 5 and 6 weeks, and for the lower leagues earlier)
All attention will then go on the cup. Teams will still rest players, but less need than if you have a league game days later.
Then play both the semi-finals and final after the end of the league season.
Don't agree with CL for the winners, don't think if Arsenal win the FA Cup this season but finish 5th or lower we will deserve CL, and the same goes for all teams. Too much luck of the draw involved, and don't want teams throwing important league games to rest players for the Cup.

Clear offside goal for Spurs. No need for VAR there
League Cup should finish before Christmas. And clubs should name their squad (maybe 23 players) before the start of the competition, so if they want to play kids they have to even if they get to the semi and final.

One of the (many) things I dislike about him are his preemptive whinges about schedules and other such stuff beyond his control. Nowadays he does this almost by default, as if he’s trying to get his excuses in early. Can’t see how it can have any kind of positive effect on team morale.
