Like I said “luck” is used by idiots as a excuse
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Then you're calling an awful lot of people idiots including most of the Spurs fan base on here when describing a lot of our results this season.

Lo Celso not getting sent off against Chelsea, you don't consider that lucky then?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No I call it a bad decision by incompetent officials.

I don’t believe is something good or bad happens it’s lucky.

There’s always a explanation behind what happens in life
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So a team can be denied, let's say 4 penalties that they should have been awarded, and end up losing a game narrowly by 1-0, and that isn't the least bit unlucky to you?

Do you not think you got lucky with the Fabianski spillage then
—————————-
No. It’s not luck when the opposition make mistakes, it’s poor play by them. We make far fewer mistakes than anyone else, so are you suggesting that it’s luck that we do so?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I already said you were the best team in the league, I just believe luck has helped you with this long winning streak you're on. I think that is fair.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fair? No, you simply have a poor grasp of the English language and it’s definitions.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In what way?

That would be incompetence again, an individual (the ref) not doing his job properly. If a beach ball were to blow onto the pitch and deflect the ball into the goal, then that would be lucky/unlucky depending on which team you are.

I swear I must be speaking to the only 2 people in the world who beg to differ that dodgy decisions for a team aren't seen as unlucky on that team.

people upset Wham failed and its only cause we're lucky? if we was lucky they'd have turned up and played like they did vs City last week and benched Anderson and other key players again
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not luck it’s pure class to do it week after week
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Luck plays a big part in football. It most certainly is luck as well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Typical spurtle wrong again
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So you're saying luck doesn't exist in the game?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Certainly not to the extent that you constantly drone on about. I can only think you must be a Pagan.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Luck has helped you gain as many points as you've got. You're easily the best team in the league but not to the extent of winning as many games as you have.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You seem to think that mistakes by the opposition means we’re lucky. Do you not think that those mistakes are down to the pressure we exert on teams, we grind them down.

You truly are clueless.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not when they're howlers like Henderson's or Fabianski's, or when players at the other end keep missing gilt-edged chances.

City have dominated and put pressure on opposition much of the time too but they haven't always come away with the desired result. You however keep doing it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You don’t consider Trent miscuing his clearance as West Ham getting lucky? Or VVD doing the same v Atletico as them getting lucky?

Same with VAR - oh Liverpool get VAR decisions..

It is the case that where a player error or VAR call goes against Liverpool, the players seem to react, usually, keep going and get a result. Hence why it’s not flagged up or be as present in anyone’s mind as much.

Eg Firmino armpit offside (wtf that was about ) players dig in and score two late goals.

Just about everyone in the footballing world that I've heard, until today on this thread, equates a wrongful decision going against a team as bad luck. Yes it's bad officiating but it also constitutes as bad luck for that team. I would have thought that was obvious but I guess not.

It is kinda cute seeing how excited these Liverpool fellas are this season, after 3 decades they are about to share in the joy that Leicester, Blackburn and Leeds enjoyed along with the bigger clubs.
------------------
You're comparing three teams that only won one trophy with the lowest points and then disappeared. Two of them still in lower divisions and can't get out. The other almost got relegated the following season against a team that have come close to winning the P league many times and won many other trophies, 6 times CL and many tens others. Wolves would go through Leeds cycle but not winning the league. Will go back in fee years to championship diving.

Cinci thinks Wolves are a big side. He should have better compared Blackburn to Wolves or even West Ham, Norwich or Bolton to Wolves. All have done better than his team over the last 30 years. Liverpool have always been one of the biggest teams

They ended up not having a consequence because Liverpool had the necessary quality to nullify those. Wasn’t always the case ie Karius in the CL final, don’t see anyone putting an asterisk against Real Madrid winning that one.

So when you start calling out luck, but with a myopic anti-Liverpool bias, it smacks of bitterness Spurtle.
