What is it with penalties nowadays? Are goalkeepers becoming better at saving them? Specialist penalty takers becoming fewer? It seems to me there has been a big drop in converted penalties lately. Perhaps a misconception?
Rangers may regret the penalty miss big time.
6 from 10 missed by Rangers this season

Also how crap is this Rangers striker? He seems to think he can just run through defenders.

Kent puts Rangers in an excellent position.
From 11-12 to 17-18 England had 7 QF or better appearances in 7 years in the CL
In the five years prior to that they had 16 appearances in the QFs or better in the CL
So as it stands last seasons 4 teams in a QF or better is an anomaly.

Yeah I'm talking about finals here when you have to beat the best teams in Europe to reach them, not QF.

So therefore it is quite clear that the Prem was at its strongest prior to 11-12
Strongest for reaching QF's, weaker for reaching finals.

So in your opinion Spurs were one of THE best teams in Europe because of a cup run?

Obviously. Not just a cup run but being the fourth best team in the league that is top dog in Europe.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Last seven years 3 finalists
The eight years prior to that 8 finalists
5 semis or better the last 7 years
14 semi finals or better in the 8 years prior
Whatever way you shape it the prem was far stronger in the CL eight years back and prior to that than it has been the last 7 years even including what can currently only be looked at as an anomaly last season.

Why are you using 8 years and 7 years? What has that got to do with anything? I'm talking about the strength of the clubs in the league, not the longevity of the teams.
As I said about, four finalists last season, three representatives out of four for the previous two seasons in the CL, two finalists in the last three years in Europe, with one win. Two finalists in the Europa league the season before last when Chelsea won it, United winning it the year before, Liverpool in the final the year before that.
I'm talking about winning and finals not QFs which shows the PL has been fighting for the European trophies as well as it has done for decades.
