Bigger clubs don’t usually appoint English managers.

I meant "bigger" along the lines of Everton/Newcastle.

Would anyone touch Eddie Howe if he decides to move on?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's English. He'd have about a dozen offers by the time he got to the car park.

Wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of bigger clubs taking a chance on him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Newcastle would be my guess
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly.

Oh right. Well Everton won’t. Newcastle depends on their takeover, they could appoint a higher profile manager if they get Saudi money.

Howe’s stock has really fallen the last couple of years. If Bournemouth get relegated it’d be even lower.

I agree that if his team does worse, people will think less of him.

If Everton can get Ancelotti these days I don't know why they'd want to settle for Howe.

Weat Ham is probably the biggest club he could get a job at.

It's amazing Bournemouth have lasted this long really and I don't think their ground even met Prem standards when they were promoted.

Huge injury list this season, think they had 8 or 9 of the match day squad out at one point, loss if form from a couple of the better players and what looks like Fraser downing tools.

Managers get too much credit when thimgs go well and too much grief when things go wrong. He's a good coach and what's happening now may make him better. I think he'll get plenty of offers.

This season is just a blip.

Eddie Howe has consistently delivered the bare minimum 40-45 points required every season they've stayed up.

A younger, more polished Sam Allardyce for the 2020s.

His teams have been in the bottom 3 for worst defences in the league with each season. This season looks like being no different again. Seems unable to create a solid defence.

They never do anything in the cups either.

I think he’s overrated. Shades of Curbishley, where he’s just a decent fit for that one club.

Alardici is was a much better manager.

It's a tiny club though. Smaller than half the Championship.

Could go either way I reckon. His one short stint away from Bournemouth didnt go well tbf.

Looking at their fixtures they look good for relegation. They're not playing any team lower than 15th, and have to play us, Wolves, Leicester, Man United, and Man City, and with their rubbish defence will concede many more goals.

It's sad cause I wanted to see Howe do well, but he isn't anymore.

For me Bournemouth have has consistent runs during each season and also been dross. They get a few wins and get away from danger at the right time usually but this season they have not.

The long break doesn't seem on the face of it to have helped at all.

The biggest issue for me is the signings. They have spent plenty of a type and thst type has not worked, ibe and solanke have been disasters for example. I think we've got 40 mil out of Bournemouth for Smith, ibe and solanke when none were near our team. Its a lot of money for risks so you have to question the signings.

I'm surprised he didn't follow up the Nathan make route and get in before Chelsea turned to their ignored youth more
