Yeah seemed to happen so quickly and clearly accidental. Definite red but sky commentators indicating it was malicious when it wasn’t.

I don’t think losing your footing is reckless.

Unless you're a drunken tightrope walker.
Seen the replay he made contact with his leg before he lost his footing
Horrible

Read somewhere Grealish wears kiddy shin pads to eccentuate his mega calves!
His standing foot was quite clearly planted and he raised his other foot to his shin.

Most shin stamps aren’t intentional just sloppy and reckless.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is why i would never not wear shin pads. Even when I play powerleague some blokes don’t wear them. Fack that. Any kind of shin contact is very painful.
Reckless is a yellow.
Out of control makes it a red and whilst I have sympathy for the player, it’s hard to argue against a red on the replay.

Bizarre that people wouldn’t
If that happens to Rashford or Pogba tmrw night all the ABU’s will be saying no contact and dive plus joke shop blood and scar
Seen it over agin a few times and it looks like intent. Why would he raise his foot

Let's just be thankful there was no lasting damage. Hoijberg was very fortunate.
Because he lost his footing as the ball was behind him. He has to shift his weight to flick the ball with his left.

His foot was planted on the ground and the other foot went nowhere near the ball?
I didn’t think it looked intentional but was a red
Just didn’t look right on 2nd look
How was the foot he kicked it with planted on the ground?
He’s off balance, the ball is behind him and he flicks it with his left. Of course his right will go up in the air.
He’s not a facking gymnast.

I said his other foot was planted on the ground. He’s off balance a bit but his left foot (non stamp foot) is quite clearly planted on the ground, I don’t think they only option for him was to go through his shin with the other foot.
