Liverpool's gap from some of the other teams has closed quite dramatically this season - not Chelsea sadly

Klopp has done well to develop players like Mane, Salah, Trent etc but without going all out for Alisson and van Dijk I'm not certain this team wins any of the big trophies if any at all.

unless they bought another top keeper, they'd have won feck all without Alisson

lad is an unbelievable goalkeeper - pretty much never ever in the wrong place

Some solace here is with a makeshift central defence Man Utd couldn’t score.

Rashford, Martial, Falcao, Fernandes and Pogba should hang their heads in shame that a team as expansive as Liverpool had to put Hendo as centre back ffs, and they couldn’t score!

Mane: Played 7...1 goal, 0 assists
Firmino: Played 11: 0 goals, 1 assist

you could also try and make that argument but they have played well without allisson before. He is key, no doubt an=bout that but I think van Dijk compliments him.

Forgot the defensive role van Dijk plays, its his passing out from the back that liverpool miss right now.

United vs Liverpool must be one of the lowest scoring big games in the prem.

Their game changed a bit. It's not this pacey and quick change from defense to attacking fly flowing football anymore. Some players has been found out a bit.

Still a good team though who can win titles.

i think Trent underperforming is a massive problem for their attacking play

nothing is coming from him whereas last 2 seasons he was creating an insane number of chances

Trent is still one of the top 3 chance creators in the league. He enjoyed a lot of protection from Henderson and with the Hendo being out of form himself and moved around it has taken a lot out of his game.

Its a combination of a lot of things but it all started with the defence and therefore the team is aware of this weakness, overcompensates for the poor defense, and this affects their attacks then you have the mess that it is now with players hesitant and with zero confidence.

draw is decent enough for us tbh

Liverpool can also live with the draw though.

I dont rate Firminho but he is the glue of that front 3. At the minute he plays like a pub footballer

Yeah it’s a good point considering how poorly we were in the final 3rd. I thought we controlled the game though and looked the better team but then you might think differently.
