they let it go because Schar got a touch
basically Refs changing the way they've always judged those decisions because they have to cover themselves for allowing City's goal vs Villa

I think Watkins was behind the ball anyway, but if they are considering an attempted intervention by the defender to stop the ball reaching an offside attacker as reason to overrule an offsidethen it is an absolute joke.

yep - agree he was behind...but it would have stood if he was offside, which is ridiculous
