I'd take Greenwood over Sterling in the England squad.

Sterling’s form is so worrying for England. He’s the second best attacker in the team. And he will play, Southgate’s not gonna start with so many players with such little international experience and so few goals.

I think when you have a front 4 that technically good teams will drop deep, not much use having pace in those situations. Maybe later on in the tournament

Personally I think we should play mount deeper and play Sancho to give a slightly different option. We don't need Henderson and Rice against most teams

But it’s not really warranted playing together from the start until maybe now. Not sure about playing Mount deeper, looked lost when played there before.

Having runners is important to this England team. Especially given they’re the ones that have played the most when England have looked at their best.

We’ve played our best football with Sterling, Sancho, Rashford and Kane in the team. I don’t think it’s wise to completely move away from that for a team that has never played together.

I mostly agree (which I think shows in my other comments) we've gotta have one different option but all in all Foden shouldn't be afraid to run beyond Kane too, same as Grealish

I don’t think it’s about being afraid, it’s more about whether it’s their style and something they excel at. Neither have they built those relationships on the pitch with Kane. One of them might play, but there’s not a chance it will be at Sterling’s expense. Southgate’s not just going to completely disregard all the work he’s put in as England manager building his attack around Kane and Sterling, to ditch it because of Sterling’s club form.

Yeah I agree, I just think Southgate has been putting his work into the wrong thing.

I personally think this is a better generation balance wise than the golden generation but I think we may get less from them under Southgate
