Sancho and Saka were poor choices, did anyone have any confidence in them when they stepped up?
I was surprised Rashford missed to be honest. Does he do that stupid run up crap for United? Every time I've seen him he just runs up and smashes it in in the corner, like he's done in previous England shootouts.
Absolutely bizarre and don't understand what he was thinking at all tonight.

We were also shafted, why was Jorginho not red carded or Bonucci a second yellow for leaving the field of play to celebrate, these are the fine margins that cab make a difference.
We were never winning a shootout so we should have been trying harder to win the game

The inclusion into the squad of Henderson proved to be a waste of a squad place, he was clearly not fit, and his only contribution was a few wayward passes out into touch

The Ref did a fair job. He didn't give Sterling his usual dive penalty, sure....but he seemed harder in the Italians.
We lost the match because Southgate brought on two inexperienced kids in minute 118 to take penalties. And they couldn't beat Donnarunna.
So , probably no "Sir Gareth Southgate".
Disappointing, but over all I'm happy with our [England's] performance at the Euro's. Never expected us to get as far as that and I've seen much, much worse.
Furthest I've seen us get in a tournament. Really not getting the hate for individual players, or Southgate.

Ref was fair.
In fact I thought he favored England....as much as he could!
He booked about five of them.
My only grumble with the ref is that I thought Jorginho should have walked.
The officiating in the tournament has been top notch really. Hope the Prem takes note.
