tbf i think the law refers to "deliberately plays the ball", which would include even a horrible miskick that goes nowhere near where intended.

we've seen a number of these before too, where a defender is penalised for playing a ball that he only went for because an offside striker was set to receive it...didn't city have one of these last season?

Was actually in Dundee today and only got accosted by two beggars. Couldn't walk away from them due to malnutrition but they're probably dead from malnutrition by now.
