United really can't have any complaints. They could have score 5-6 goals. They didnt. So can only blame themselves for bottling this one.

Tbf it's not the outfield players bottling it. It's the keepers in pretty much every shootout. We've scored 19 of our last 21 penalties in shootouts I think. So it's clear where the issue lies

Maybe so, for penalties alone. With that stat I quoted, you'd expect to win probably 4 shootouts or lose 1 out of 4 at most. To have to score that many pens in two shootouts and somehow lose both is scandalous

Ironic that a team with both Penaldo and Penandes can't win a penalty shoot out.
