Man utd first time for a while the table looks good and most enjoyable weekend of results this season for us.

I was chatting to my gardener's son yesterday and asked him who he thought would win the champions league and he said "el City", which surprised me on two counts, firstly that he had that opinion (as a real madrid supporter) and secondly that he just referred to them as City, made me laugh.

No one expects us to win the PL but we are improving, are you?

Paul is tetchy after a long pointless trip to Geordieland.

Note to self......Don't come on the bertie board after they lose again.

Boris, recent results suggest that United are indeed improving (nine games unbeaten) and that City haven't address their away game problem.

Same thing RED666. Paul stayed in newcastle last night I read before.

Pellegrini will get it right, he will prove all the doubters wrong.

I genuinely do RipleysCat

So you genuinely think we'll win the title this season, yet in this thread you're talking about United being the mix (mix of what - the mix of a title race that you (in your own words) "genuinely" think City will win), and considering that you think City will "genuinely" win the title, then why do you care that we've lost 4 games already this season in the league?

If you really do "genuinely" think that City will win the league, then why even bother creating this thread?

Improving in the CL?

posted on 10/11/13

read your post again Boris, you referred to the PL

We are playing well in the champions league, in fact our best football have come in this competition, just our shocking misses let bayer leverkusen real sociedad off cricket scores.

I meant the CL, where we (obviously) are improving.

same exact reasons some of your were gloating on our board after the derby and other recent slip ups by us. It's always fun to laugh at your rivals when they lose.

You forget I'm also a Mancunian. I work with a load of berties. Looking forward to work tommorrow quite a lot.

And our office is in Ardwick. I have to drive past the bitter bowl everyday. Imagine how that feels.

Doris improving in the CL??? You have played 2 shocking sides in cska Moscow and viktoria plzen. Let's see what you are like when you come up with a half decent side.

posted on 10/11/13

...and you've been playing the Powerhouses of Europe?

posted on 10/11/13

No but we have played some fairly decent sides. Not great but decent

Then have a laugh with them tomorrow. Another reason for you not to bother creating this waste-of-space thread tonight.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Not at all. I think you are wrongly assuming we're confident in Europe. We're not. I think we'll get through but Im not optimisitic about getting much further.

Sociedad are one of the worst teams we've faced in Europe for a while actually. They were dreadful even at home.

Leverkusen and Shaktar aren't bad sides though. Better than the two weaker teams in your group anyway.

But like I said, City were due some luck with the CL draw.

Neither team will get close to winning it though.

Boring.

You're becoming more and more like us every year that passes. Really poor losers.

Signs of a good team so don't feel too bad.

'Bitter Bowl' standard rag with superiority complex. Boring.

posted on 10/11/13

Oh the irony....."rag" & "swamp" mean anything to you?

The Bitters is definitely the most apt nickname for you lot. Bitter to the core.

I bet bluemoon is in meltdown tonight.

How could we be on your board gloating when we are all banned?
Don't recall anyone gloating about it anyway, provide evidence to back up your nonsense?
