I thought it was fair enough until I read that "Fleet Spurs were set up in 1948 in homage to the north London side by people returning from World War Two".
The reason I thought it was fair enough is that they've clearly just nicked the illustration. They've not imitated it or based theirs on it, they've just stolen it.
Why would another club want a chicken balancing on a basketball badge?
Given the fact that it's a huge amount of money to the small team and a pittance to Spurs, you would have thought it would have been a nice touch by the Premier league team to chuck them a couple of grand as an act of good faith.
Spurs could have paid for it themselves. Look at all the money they wasted in summer, another few grand wouldn't hurt.

You expect Daniel Levy to throw away money???
Saying that he did throw away a lot of money this summer.
I know what you mean but still...they just look like bullies after this and you'd imagine with a name like that most of the fans of that team would be Spurs fans.
No, it's not wrong in the slightest. They shouldn't be doing it.

Is that a symbol for Manchester or something? Uncanny similarity.
I think for PR purposes Sours should just pay the small cost (to Spurs that is), in changing their badge.
Although it was a pretty stupid thing for the non league side to do.
A spokesman for Tottenham Hotspur said: "If we do not take action to stop Fleet Spurs using our cockerel logo, it can undermine our ability to stop other unauthorised people who use our logo for commercial purposes, such as counterfeiters.
"We are very conscious that Fleet Spurs is a grass-roots club. For this reason we have been very careful not to ask them to do anything that might incur costs.
"It was always the club's approach to deal with this matter amicably and with a large dose of common sense."
Hardly bullies
Could atleast foot the bill
To everyone that nicks our logo, or just these guys as a precedent?
Siempre, just looking at that 1958 badge makes me feel all emotional.
Whereas looking at the City badge makes me laugh. No one has ever given me a good explanation for those three stars.
do the 3 stars have anything to do with relegation or playing in division 3???
