Doubt it

Groves will not stand in the middle and trade shots with him. He'll lose if he does that

He will run from Froch imo and try to get in and out quick.

I dont think Groves has it in him to do that for 12 rounds.

As much as i dont like Froch, he is in a different league to Froch. He's been there and done it. Groves wil come up short.

pi55 poor undercard. hearn was hyping up the undercard but i think he has put a load of fights on to cover up the poor quality of fights.

Groves will beat Froch comfortably in my opinion. Something like 117-111 116-112. A late stoppage for Groves is a possiblity. Groves is a great puncher. Hits harder than Froch, better skillset, movement and speed. Styles make fights and we all Froch has a weakness against the style of Groves. We have seen it against Taylor, Dirrell, Ward etc

Who has groves mesmerised with his skills? Domestic level and washed up fighters

Ward prior to Kessler fought nobody and destroyed him. Groves hasn't had that many fights and this is his first world title shot so obviously he isn't going to have a good resume. But comeback to me on Saturday night when Groves wins.

i agree Groves has the style, however my worry is when Froch lands and backs Groves up on the ropes and it inevitably will happen at some point, will Groves be able to take the shots?

Froch isn't that much of a bigger puncher and Groves has a better chin than everyone thinks. Groves will slip and roll the punches.

Only reason this fight was made is because groves is English and Eddie saw the pound signs, there's a reason the US networks wanted no part of this fight and it wasn't because they knew a upset was coming

True he isn't a big puncher but he throws a fak load of them, some are bound to land, think he threw around 1000 punches vs Kessler.

Erm because Pacquiao is fighting on the same day otherwise a network would have bought it.

Just watched the Froch episode. Froch is one unbelievably boring dude. Got no personality at all.

Easy to throw that much against a flat footed and no head movement Kessler. His punch volume decreased dramatically against the likes of Ward and Dirrell. Nothing more tiring than throwing a punch at thin air.

Gorves is starting to pee me off
Froch was ok..but he is starting to sound like a plumb too

By what they have been saying, the jab will be key in this fight for both men.

Whoever can win that battle will win the fight

Why is Froch saying that Groves is embarassing, pathetic, disgrace to boxing, The UK public have been put off by him and his antics, Its a good cop bad cop, I'll play the role of the good cop thing, Groves has lost a lot of fans with the way he's acted?

How exactly has he acted?

Froch seems to be making all this up in his own head as he goes along about how he's been disrespected. He's got the biggest chip on his shoulder in boxing.

Mr. Chelsea - I totally agree. I posted this on another thread but I think it corroborates your point:

Froch has earned his respect from the global boxing community the hard way. But I would argue he now has that respect in droves. Currently Matchrooms biggest name and able to pull in big crowds wherever he fights in England, guest appearances on Soccer AM.

This is another reason why I find his increasingly embarrassing bluster in the build up the Groves fight all the more strange. He’s reached a point in his career where he is the proven big name; he does not need to do it. He tries to make out that he was not annoying or shouty when calling out JC back when he was about to hit his peak years. Well the boot is on the other foot now and he should acknowledge that Groves deserves to be in the ring with him on Saturday night.
Froch is an intelligent man yet he can’t bring himself to do it.

All this suggests to me that he is worried about Groves. Because despite what he says, Froch knows come Saturday he is in with a real live opponent with all the tools and confidence to beat him.

Just for info I like and admire Carl Froch but I just think Groves time has come.

Cal - Agreed. Having been between the ropes myself many times just for sparring I know the real thing takes bona fide courage. There would have to be something pretty diabolical about a boxer for me not to have respect for them.

Secsual Harassment Panda (U18716)

I just dont see what Groves has done that's made Froch be so disgusted and use so much hyperbole. Words like pathetic embarassing, disgrace to boxing. He's said Groves has lost a lot of fans with the way he's acted. What?

Groves has been disrespectful to Froch, he said some degatorty comments about him.

Groves has intentionality tried to wind Froch up and he has succeeded because Froch is very easy to wind up.

What did he say that was so bad?
