interesting view point here gents, if rangers ever get into europe again and draw a dutch team, they dutch police have just been given the right to knock f... out of you.
what a victory eh?

And we've been in Amsterdam on many occassions without any great issues.
Chelsea must have been at home that night

In all seriousness though, the videos are there to see that the Police attacked some Celtic fans, it seems these boys have unfortunately been caught acting in either self defence or what can be portrayed as "hooliganism"
Speaking of which, how many Dutch people were arrested the night before? Or is that just common practise these days?
One thing this whole Barmy has done is put a lot of people off Amsterdam and I imagine most clubs will be extra cautious now
Keny trying to make this hooligan issue about the Gers now...
Poor show Keny, poor show

i think the whole situation was appallingly handled quite frankly, i would be surprised if any of them knew it was the police they were fighting with.
no badges, no authority just running over and leathering people, celtic fans or not its out of order.
my pals are rangers fans, one goes to away games in europe and if it happend to him i'd be pretty annoyed at my pal getting a dooing

NNH, i would imagine the police had vids of fans "rioting", but of course it's self defence cos you guys are whiter than white
=====
they ran over and started leathering people thats not policing thats a linching
The self defence excuse is laughable.
The initial exchanges might have been self defence or even protecting "innocent" fans, but the afters was out and out hooliganism.
When it kicks off you grab your mates that are in the thick of it and clear off. You don't go head to head with the riot police and face off with them for hours.

O.K. sorry, that makes it fine then, my mistake
======
right so it doesnt matter that people went over there hearing about the previous night?
so tehn guys run over and start battering people they were expected to just stand there and take a kicking? good to know if your pals getting leathered you will just sit back and watch it.
if the police identified themselves and behaved professionally then much of this could be avoided.
but hey its celtic fans, so they are meant to know its policemen, any one would eh?
Keny, have you ever wondered why the undercover cops felt they needed to blow their cover and sort out the hooli...I mean, innocent Celtic fans?
I'm sure a few of them kicked off without provocation
However you are right in the sense it wasn't dealt with well but there has to be fault at both sides. Trams etc

that hardly ever happens. it really doesnt.
Ivan your last paragraph is correct
Like I said before I had boys on my Facebook "proud they stood their ground"
The boys jailed or to be jailed seen harshly treated though. There is one video that shows the boy getting smacked about by a copper in plain clothes FFS

the more i read this the more ridiculous it is actually.
say celtic fans did something, how should police react, by restrainig them yes? fair enough.
3 running over and booting f... out a guy though, thats acceptable is it?
