The majority of them are here illegally so they can't take most of the jobs.

I live in London and I am the minority in my own country. Don't get me wrong I like living around different cultures but it's getting to be a joke. I was on the tube the other day and I reckon I was the only English man In my carriage.

If we had a referendum asking every British citizen if we wanted to halt all immigration into Britain, about 90% would say yes.

And who could blame us??

The rats are feasting because we are a soft touch!

All they'd do is make us vote again until we vote the outcome they want.
We are all governed by the united states of europe now,it does'nt matter who we vote in nationally, none are strong enough to stand up against them, cos once they get a whiff of the banksters ££££££££s and benefits they just say,oh it's worse than we thought, blame the last lot.
Even cyprus newly elected pm succumbed to the e.u thieves, the never ending cycle of debt to the banksters running the show in the shadows, and cyprus is hardly doing great right now with businesses closed left right and centre.

There's also the brain drain to consider, over the last 15-20 years a large chunk of british teachers, doctors, surgeons and other professionals have left this sick dog of a country for a better life in, the states, france, australia, dubai etc etc leaving a gap to fill, step forward eastern europeans and middle easterners, it's not just carrot pickers this country needs.

Everyone should have the right to be heard and have people listen, whether they be from the far right, the far left or one of the weirdo's in the middle.

Then once you have listened feel free to laugh at how stupid they all are.

It's a shame that the immigration issue is linked to parties like the BNP. Probably becuase other parties are too scared to tackle the issue for fear of losing power.

Great pity though becuase it gives a platform to these minority parties to bring forward their doctrine of hatred towards other nationalities, and it's been proven in history where that attitude leads.

Not to mention the thousands of people who have already given their lives to shut up the likes of Hitler and Mussolini. That's why I find it difficult to stomach any of Griffins rantings.

Not wishing to pour oil on troubled waters, nor relegate the issue of immigration to the sidelines, i couldn't , but this is the LFC web site isn't it? not wishing to sound harsh or uncaring, but my focus is on my team, our team, and how they will perform against Hull. Or ami out of kilter again?

The members of the BNP wanted to bomb some mosques yet when they are caught they get done under the firearms act. Yet, a Muslim planning to bomb nightclubs gets done under the terrorism act.

This country has gone to sheit but it could be worse. It could be China.

As the population gets bigger so does the crime rate, prisons full to the brim, nobody serving there sentances fully because they need to teach others a lesson!policing is being cut back, benefits cut or more sanctions placed, mass unemployment,a beaten youth generation, nhs being hived off, basically allowing private firms to dictatate and restrict our every movement.
But let's all be ecstatic about the work ethic the foreigners bring in through immigration, while turning a blind eye to what it's really all about.

PROFIT!

a recent study has shown that since 2000 immigrants make a substantial "net contribution" and were nearly 50% "less likey to claim benefits" and less likely to claim for social housing. so the anti-immigrants claim that immigrants will come to claim for benefits lacks any evidence whatsoever

----------------------------------------------

Can someone more informed than me explain to me something I find puzzling.

Many (I'd suggest most) of the people coming to the UK from overseas (both EU and non-EU) will not be getting jobs that are highly paid (i.e. 'a lot of immigrants will do the jobs UK workers won't do). How then is the above statement 'net contribution' qualified? Is it just a monetary contribution, i.e. paying in more tax and NI than taking out?

Because surely someone coming here working in a low paid job won't be making a 'net contribution' if they have family with them - possible housing/schooling/health network etc...surely in terms of what the UK needs to provide for them will be more than what they benefit the UK?

With regards to the benefits system, this has been left to get out of control by successive governments, it should have been nipped in the bud decades ago, there are plenty of white british families of 2/3 generations who have never done a days work in their sorry lives yet see the benefits system as some sort of entitlement. These people are the real scourge on society, the ones who do not want work, and will actively refrain from it by any means possible.

David Cameron is trying to rise the issue (as softly as he can politically dare) due to his fear of the UKip vote. The problem with UKip is that their policy of leving the EU but have trade links with Europe-like Norway-have to have to freedom of movement if they want to trade with the block. so, even with farage's wish of us being outside the EU we would still have movement of migrants. so, nigel farage has undermined his principal policy.

While i don't doubt there are many who cheat the benefit system, there are plenty of others branded under the same umbrella genuinely seeking work.
But if we want to talk about benefit cheats,we have the outdated royal family, and the politicians who falsely claim things via tax payers money, and bankers who are cheating us out of billions of pounds in the name of rewards for fecking up the whole economy with tax payers money again.
It seems there just is'nt enough money in the world for these poeople to be able to exist!
