The linesman and referee against Blackburn
Pundits who say things like: 'They could have had three but as it is, it's still 0-0'. That's ridiculous, as if that team had scored with its first chance, the ball would have gone back to the centre spot and the whole course of the match would have been different and the second and third chances wouldn't have occurred! Get my drift?
Alan Green, can't stand the man
Yes Alan Green is a self-opinionated prat with an annoying voice.
*Referee's who blow up when it gets to the end of added time, even though there have been lenghty stoppages during that period.
*Consecutive Saturday TV games at midday
*The rule about players taking their shirts off, which they completely ignore and pick up a pointless booking.
Officials who run over to stop players who run to their section of fans to celebrate scoring a goal. What's all that about?
^Yes, and add the overprotective stewards to that. Yes I realise it's their job (I think), but some don't make a fuss.
And while we're at it, stewards who pull people out of the crowd who are stood up and shouting for their team. I saw this on a couple of occasions at Leeds. Little hitlers I call 'em.
Player gets professional fouled within 10 yards of pen area, with no other covering defenders between fouled player and keeper.
No way should defending team be allowed to ALL come back into pen area and form defensive wall.
Entire defensive and attacking team team should line up 10 yards behind the player that has just been hacked down, keeper back on his line, ref blows whistle and player (or any other, in the attacking team, it's their choice) can continue from that point either shooting straight away or playing ball to himself and running on to try and round keeper etc etc
<Sepp has already pre-approved this, so he's coming out of room 101 next week )

Also, massively wishful thinking, but this crowding around the ref and yelling all up in their grill malarkey is a joke!
Another thing where rugby has got it right and footy is woefully behind.
5) Those incompetent refs who stand by the penalty area, someone tell them to actually do something or just get rid of them.

I actually saw them do something twice on the same night in different games (the night Swansea played St. Gallen). They're just like buses!

They are their to define whether it's a throw in or a corner/goal kick.

The other thing i'd consign to a footballing room 101 is the Redknapp dynasty - all of them.
Senior is a myth and junior is just an irritant with stupid ties. Mrs Redknapp (married to junior), is a stick insect who whines.
If I had my way...
1) Diving/feigning injury would be a straight red card and a 5-match ban.
2) I'd get rid of shirt sponsors. Just have the manufacturer's logo, the club emblem and that's it, just like old times.
3) I'd introduce a system where if a player is injured during a match and deemed unfit to continue, his manager should be allowed to replace him without using an allotted substitution.
That's all I can thin of for now.
It seems there isn't much agreement but still lots of ideas!
