Good news. Defoe offers next to nothing these days.

Do we have to replace him with a home grown player? Is our quota up?

Also, are Irish players like Shane Long considered home grown?

If we don't have to sign home grown then i'm sure we can pick up a good striker on the continent.

He was a very good player for us, but now is just not very good. Time moves on. He's past it now so getting £6m or so is great business

Oh well,

He got the Europe record. And it's World Cup season.

But it is the daily star

For me I hold him as one of our best strikers in my lifetime

Sad to see him go, 5th all time leading Spurs goalscorer and one of the best finishers around. Perhaps other areas of his game are not good enough but his finishing is superb.

Levy does like some sort of return on players before they are too old and JD needs to be playing regularly with a world cup coming, so it is a move that makes sense. I hope the rumours of an immediate loan to the Shammers is nonsense though, I would hate to see that.

We better have a replacement lined up, I don`t fancy relying on Kane if we get injuries to Ade and Soldado.

Not good enough for Spurs bench in my opinion, his record is 1 in 4 wherever he has been.

It hasn't altered his chances of playing in next seasons Champions League....

Ok, he's a facking greedy little caant who was never facking consistent, he's a facking short árse with a stupid voice, the only facking trophy we won in the decade was when he facked off to Portsmouth, I'm glad to see the back off the little bum sniffer and I hope it all goes títs up for him wherever he ends up.
