How about this tweet....
@chrislepkowski: Rare for #wba to 'go back' after talks break down but told they were very impressed by Mel's commitment to good football and plans
That's a very very good sign for me. We all know what JP is like.

Spot on, JH. JP must have seen something he liked very much.
Just a question now of what happens to Downing and Kiely in the summer, but compared to this important appointment, that's by the by.

I suggest we all pop on to the Wolves Board #if you can find it ............
And post on the Albion rejected thread ........

Albion reject prospective coaches for rational reasons, Wolves appoint coaches for reasons only they know - Terry Connor, Stale Solbakken, Dean "I know the secret for getting out of this league but I'm not going to say what it is or else everyone will know" Saunders.
That's the difference between JP at Premier League Albion and Steve Morgan and the Fat Controller Jez Moxey at Division III club Wolves.
And Uncle Herbert's still got me blocked because he can't stand getting it back.
Mel's a good manager and a top bloke too. I hope he fits in well at WBA and wish both him and your club the best.
On his departure from Betis, the club's been completely cash-strapped since before he took over. He worked miracles to get them playing as they did, eran promotion and have such a good season last year. Once again he was stripped of his best players, such as Beñat or Cañas, and left with a threadbare squad - hardly enough to compete in La Liga, let alone Europe and the Spanish Cup. I don't think anyone in Spain blames him for their current predicament.
Nice one mate, thanks for the info.
Only thing that concerns me is the time it might take for the players to adapt to his style. I know that you guys have favoured getting the ball on the deck in recent seasons, but your current league position means he'll have to hit the ground running.
Yeh, I see that point.
Hopefully he can reach his objective of keeping us in the division this season and the hopefully next season, his philosophy etc will of reached the players and we can be in for a top season.
We certainly have the players for an easy mid table finish.
I agree mate. Imo, he's just as capable as Laudrup, if not more. Stay up this year and hopefully it will be upwards and onwards next season.
If Albion's players can re-discover their form, and avoid injury, we should indeed finish comfortably.
