We are a club that involves itself in the community, takes care of the health of former players no matter their age,and are generally run for the benefit of the fans.

Yes and your club is absolutely potless with a shabby ground and no trophies. I know which business model I prefer
I wonder if the op can spot the difference between a franchise and marketing activity?
Or maybe the difference between raising funds to upgrade our stadium and buy new players, and having a dilapidated shed of a stadium and being reliant on loan signings?
I know which I'd prefer....
Read the report in last nights Echo.
I am no fan of Bill Kenwright.
After he gives his usual pitch about being in the boys pen, he goes on to give a heartfelt article about Everton Fc.

He has to give you all that schtick about being a family club, a community club, the people's clubs etc etc.
What he means is, I am skint, so we have to pretend we are different to other clubs to explain away the fact I am skint and can't attract investment.
You are deluded if you think Bill Kenwright wouldn't be loving doing deals with Dunkin Donuts if he could. He tried to make Tesco build you a new ground FFS.

good old Everton aye, struggling through the lack of investment but it's ok because the great fans of the peoples club seek out goodison every week.
it's not like they have to sell half season tickets around Christmas because they're support is so shîte, is it?

mean while Liverpool football club keep signing commercial deal after commercial deal because Liverpool football is a popular and interesting business model to be associated with.
Everton meanwhile are like a big issue seller, people walk past you to the things and places they actually want to get to!
