What topic we going to go onto next to identify Chronics intelligence?

How about Biology.

If Marco has 47 chromosomes, what does he have?

On the original topic ...I think it decreases the glory in winning, I liken it to using cheats in a video game - where everything is given to you and not earned - it cheapens the achievement, of course I were a City or Chelsea fan i would probably reason it differently, it's pretty subjective

If we make £100m and spend that £100m we have spent nothing - to say we bought assets that are worth less than £100m, and therefore have lost money, assumes Bale was actually worth £85m

Oh FFS So Spurs have spent £110 million of which which recouped the whole of it in outgoing transfers. Man City and Chelsea both spent close to half a billion and never won the title, it took them both another half a billion each to win a title, and they are both now embarking on their second billion.

£100 million plus is chicken feed these days.

Evening oddiY..

Its amusing how prior to both Chelsea and Man City winning the lottery neither club had hardly won a trophy for 50 years, then suddenly they start winning trophies, and they say money doesn`t buy success. Pull the other one. The problem being though you need about a billion just to kick off.

I love the way the media cream themselves over City and Chelsea, when they have practically brought all of their success, and blown away any real competition by offering wages in excess of £250 grand a week.

Most clubs that win trophies buy them to a certain extent, but Chelsea and Man City are buying them obscenly, and what annoys me is the pundits and press think it is a level playing field the way they praise them constantly.

Both clubs would be yo yooing between the prem and the championship if not for the money.

Arsenal can have no excuses though, they have had the cash cow of the CL for about 20 years, and the building of the new stadium cannot be used as an excuse for a lack of success of the past decade, their have been about 30 new stadias built over the same period, and most clubs are not even in the prem.

Slightly envious of man city, never jealous of Chelsea. Ever.

Since Mansour arrived City have spent around half a billion net on transfers and have a wage bill of around £200m a year.

That equates to around £1.5 billion in the last 5 years.

Compare that to Spurs who have a net transfer spend of around only £4m in the last 5 years and a wage bill of around £90m a year.

I'm not jealous of either of them, look to Scotland with the likes of Rangers and Hearts, when the day comes that the money walks away from Chelsea and Man City and they're on their knees, I won't feel any sympathy either.

Watching city when on form is awesome, however no more entertaining than us at our best under Harry. And not begrudgingly the gooners at their best. Difference is city will win lots and have already won stuff.

It's not cheating to have £s chucked at it. It's simply that it is what it takes.

the number of clubs that can now afford massively expensive players has grown so much over Europe, getting a mega rich owner is no longer the guarantee it was in the past. (although it helps a lot )

There aren't enough top class players to go around

I love that you are such an unsuccessful club. Clubs like us need to have clubs like yours just to remind us that no matter how bad things get, there will always be a Totspurs to make us feel superior.
Chin up lads, you have a billionaire owner who doesn't want to spend money on you cos he knows what a total fack up of a club you are and has just seen you pi$$ 100m on shat.
Ours spends big and we win big. Totspurs just hanging on our coattails for scraps.
Don't even associate our two clubs, you aren't anyway near our level, you are just yapping little wannabes. We've won the biggest club comp in football, don't presume to ever think you are of the same, you are not and never will be, we just happen to play in the same league. Now go chat away about how much your proper and realistic rivals are spending, the Evertons, Villas and Southamptons and back off your chatter about things that shouldn't concern a small little club like yours.
