Kerrydale Accountant in particular seems to have a bee in his Fergus McCann bunnet with respect to the board and calmness personified Mr Neil Lennon. Again I understand his concerns as Lennon appears to be little more than a puppet manipulated by the board. He certainly is a "yes" man and will only pick his favourites. It must be galling for the young laddies coming through the youth system to be honest
======
Point this kerrydale guy out to me, we need to have words.
Is that our double league and Scottish cup winning manager your referring to?
The guy with a manager of the year title to his accolades?
Hes alright, leave him be thanks.
hoops
he's doing alright but the 5-6 million rubbish and lack of willingness to play youngsters is annoying me.
seems to have fallen into a comfort zone.

Hey don't shoot the messenger
I was merely commenting on the ill will amongst the Faithful through and through towards the manager and the board on here
I only deal in facts.

i think he's a bit of a yes man tbh
shows his discontent sometimes though, but generally seems to accept his place under pete's thumb.

are you serious ? a yes man in what way ???..i think he is very much his own man .
he has a budget like every manager has , he has a set of guidelines in place like every manager has ...
Does adhering to such now make you a yes man ?
Not shooting the messenger just giving an opinion.
I only deal facts also.
I'm also of the opinion that Pukkis barnet is causing the big cat sightings in the campsies.

he doesnt have a budget CT , when has he ever had a budget?
he has a "we dont have a budget, we look at things on a deal by deal basis and see if we can afford it" game plan.
funny how no deal ever over 2 million is affordable?
I'm not saying he likes it but he certainly accepts it.
He works within a budget : you said yourself
"funny how no deal ever over 2 million is affordable?"
that would certainly suggest he has budget on signings which he he cannot exceed , these are in place for a good reason - and just because you accept those reasons does not make you lawells puppet
He does not control the finances released at the club so what other option does he have than to accept it ?

thats all fair and well but none of the above make him a yes man
He works within limitations like all managers , hes aware of why they are in place - as we all should be .
In my role i need to evaluate and purchase hardware and software products that our company could use . I know i have a limitations on what i can go out there and get ...i cant just buy the best available because my company cant afford it - i need to get the best i can within my price range - It doesnt make me a yes man
its the exact same for lennon , he cannot change the policy he has to work within it

more likely to be alien lifeforms I suspect
Just as well I didn't mention the dirty spoon
CT would throw a wobbler
lennon came out in the summer and complained he didnt get the support he wanted, he's came out many times and backed the stance of the board against the wishes of the fans.
IMO he does what he is told without question, yet when he had twitter was quite happy to argue with the fans.
great relationship with peter though.
the magnificent Peter "we ran out of time / nobody wanted our money" Lawwell.
to come out with the 5-6 million line and then big up the guy he knew we would be going for is imo misleading the fans.
as the great jock stein said "football without making tons of money is nothing"
or
"we did it by making money, lots and lots of lovely money"
or did he...
i appreciate the healthy position we have, but we could spend a bit more and become a more entertaining and appealing team to join that rather than just a company to make money.
IMO he does what he is told without question
===============
regarding finances he simply has to , all managers have to
regarding his role as a manager i would doubt very much if anyone outside the coaching staff have any influence on team affairs
He did have a go at the board , no yes man i know does that - but he also has to accept why limitations are in place regarding expenditure - which im sur ehe is clever enough to do

if i thought for a minute we might do that, i'd be ok, but we wont, and we know it.
Its all a big balancing act at present Mick and thats the way it should be
There are potential rainy days ahead for celtic regarding finances .. league attendances have been dropping and will [probably continue to do so
and european nights are not a given , its a tough ask to get into the champions league - you never know what calibre of team you could face so thats money can never be budgeted for
sensible financiall control seems to be whats at the helm of the club and i think we should accept and understand why this is the case
all this spend spend spend - we got £20M last year why are we not spending £5M on one player ??
its not gonna happen - we have spent £10M+ this year so be happy at that for now
