I dont like like to be seen clutching but i also believe Yaya should have recieved a second for his backheeled trip of Rose. Rose made the most of it, but if the refereee acknowledges the foul, that was a .

Also, for our goal, Clichy (i think it was) tried to handle the ball on the line to stop the ball going in - that too is a automatic red card - so the game could have been very different.

I liked the way we kept going at them, trying to get back in it, even with 10 men, and at 3-0 down, and you could even see players like Ade chasing down the ball from one side of the pitch to the other.

This was an embarrassing result for which the manager has to accept some blame for - but to claim he's out of his depth after this (and his only defeat in the league) is plain daft.

Beauty

I'm certainly not whinning, i just think the ref spoilt what could have been a really good advert for football - if he got the key decisions right.

And its pointless giving us the stats and figures including the incorrect sending off decisions etc, as them stats only happened because of those decisions.

City was on the front foot from the word go, so i am not disputing the end result, its just a shame the ref gifted a goal (penalty) that wasnt, denied a goal (that was), sent off a Spurs player (who he shouldnt) and didnt send off 2 City players (who could have, and should have).

I'm a good loser, but i think the officials ruined this one.

Remember....credit to Sherwood...with 10 men for half the game you did better than the 6-0 under AVB!

Beauty, The point of the article is that im saying we shouldn't be moaning, we had a few decisions go the wrong was last night but thats football.

I think the red did write us off from getting anything but I wasn't expecting anything pre-match, half time I wanted to see how much Sherwood could motivate the team.

Hull next hopefully Verts, Sandro, Townsend and Paulinho are back could give us better options. Need 3 points

Beauty,

Again, you’re missing the point. The stats that flashed up were of the game that happened WITH the poor decisions. I would have liked to have seen a game, and stats, without them.

I think Sherwood has done an excellent job for you guys...and your keeper was absolutely superb last nigh...and made one of the saves of the season from Aguero.

I think, as good as we looked last night, we were wasteful....especially Dzeko.

Maybe I shouldn't invade your thread...so apologies, but some on here moaning about decisions etc and how it could've been a different game....it wouldn't have been....as we had Negredo on the bench...but thankfully, he gets another 5 days rest and wasn't needed.......you got some dodgy decisions in your favour as well.

Anyway, I've got fingers crossed you finish ahead of the dippers and the rags.....so good luck for the rest of the season.

tbh....i disagree a tad....players have gotta shoulder some of the blame when we keep getting humped like this.....!!!!!

my main gripe last night...was the city caaant waving the imaginary card right in the refs face after the rose incident........that really grinds my gears.....

However Chicken....wouldn't we all want to see a game and it's end result with no poor decisions against us and decisions for us....as god knows what the result could've been last night.

I agree with you....I hate it when players wave imaginary cards......10 v 10 then.....change the result? I doubt it...but I agree, Navas did wave a 'fake' card and rightly got pushed away by Kompany.

No need for it....Kompany spoke to the ref...he spoke to the Lino....and he got a red.

chicken you are being a very naughty boy here.

I never once heard you defend avb how you are defending Sherwood when we had some bad luck/poor decisions against us...

I actually agree with most of what you say, but you are being very inconsistent.

Of course the players are to blame. They made crystal palace look like Barcelona the other day. I
n the first half they couldnt string two passes together.
City have thumped many teams this season but we have been the worst.
Tim Sherwood speaks like a damn loser.....

Beauty and The Beast!

i think after 30 minutes it flashed up that City had 76% total possession.....so I guess the sending off actually avoided us getting into double figures!!

Totally and utterly irrelevant, had the ref and linesman done their jobs properly, the score would have been 1-1 after 50 odd minutes with 11 v 11 regardless of how much possession City had in the first 30 minutes. It counts for SFA mate. The game thereafter could then have gone either way. Football does not work on possession stats.

What do you expect from Chicken. He is see-saw Chicken. If this was AVB in charge, Chicken would be murdering him. He really is a joke.

So...........it clearly doesn't work on 'what if's' either.....a point you so eloquently made yourself!

What if's also count for SFA as well .....mate...

Spade, hole...dig.......

What ifs can count both ways mate, so we will never know what would have happened as I say if the ref had done his job properly, at 1-1 with 11 v 11, who knows. You seem to think City would have won anyway, but we will never know for sure.
