I presume on football matters, Fergie and SBC have a huge say on decisions. And they will fight for Moyes, rightly or wrongly.
this is it.
people are convinced that fergie and SBC have the say if a when he goes as they appointed him. They have pledged to give him his full 6 year contract
Not sure Uncle Malc will agree with this if he sees his investment swilling down the plug hole from year 1
Tbh people are misinformed. even if we drop out of the top 4, our revenue streams are still going to increase. it's only if we miss out on the CL for 5 or so consecutive years, that it may hit the Glazers in the pockets. Liverpool made more commercial revenue than Arsenal last season. so for the Glazers, Utd will be profitable for many more years.
However, from a playing point of view, the side fans care about. Utd are probably going to suffer more many more years. Moyes will get at least 3 years. so it;s doubtful we will be pulling up any trees in that time.
Wait till the share price starts to slide, all will be revealed
The bums rush will take place, yanks don't do failure..

Share prices mean little unless they want to sell.
Just because Liverpool made more than Arsenal doesn't mean we won't suffer financially from dropping out of the CL.

we won't suffer in the short term. maybe if we miss out for 4 or 5 seasons it will start to tell. but the Glazers won't be sacking Moyes for financial reasons, that's for sure. There really is not much pressure on them. Andersred explains it well.

It means a bit more in the Glaser's business model.
If the share price falls dramatically, the banks who basically own Utd might have something to say.

you and Mr andersonblog are assuming that the sponsors that Glazers have got on board will be happy with year on year failuer to qualify in the CL

your biggest worry right now is that top players seem to be choosing elsewhere
thats not good for UTD .. will moyes attract the best ?
genuine question

Historically, we've never really attracted the very best players.

are you sure about that
6 year contract is a big factor along with Sir Alex's support

Yes we will. The Glazers are all about maximising profits. Failing to qualify for the CL is not achieving that.
The short term effects also have long term effects. Especially with the CL money going up the season after next - something the Glazers cannot possibly have factored into their business model when Moyes was appointed as they won't have been aware of just how much BT were going to pay for the CL rights.
They are running a business that happens to be a football club. The Champions League brings millions of pounds into that business.
If they were running a retail outfit that was doing well for years, then suddenly saw their profits slashed by millions of pounds each year, heads would roll. Why do you think this is any different?
