so you thought we were title favourites after we signed Ozil? We've overachieved and expectations have risen but I'm still judging us on the expectations I had at the start of the season. we've seen progress in every area where the critics questions us but we need to judge it at the end of the season. Obviously if we totally collapse, scape 4th and don't win any big games then Wenger should probably go but that's just hypothetical, there as much chance of that happening as us winning the title. nobody knows what's gonna happen.

Considering we're 1 point off the top it's just a shame most fans have their knives sharpened waiting for us to slip up instead of getting behind the team believing we can achieve something.

I've tried to be optimistic this season. Why not? We were top of the table at Christmas, we'd secured a massive coup in the shape of Ozil, and our defence seemed rock-solid.

To be honest though, my optimism took a bit of a knock after the transfer window slammed shut. While I don't buy into the constant pleading for a striker, I still think we needed a. an inside forward to replace Walcott, and/or a defence-minded midfielder, to account for Flamini's habit of picking up cheap yellows.

On paper, the Kallstrom signing was a good one, but the disaster that was his injury would have demoralised not only the fans, but the players.

If the Sanogo story is true (I'm still not sure) then it just highlights some of the farces we've endured in the last couple of years (namely, paying a player who doesn't play for six months, then commits actual bodily harm).

Totally agree, we are perhaps the only big club that collects dead woods just to pay them wages while burdening our other squad players or keep them in bench despite shelling millions on them I.e., Poldi. This manager is becoming a pain in the neck, I like him but he keep dangling a chicken meat to a vegetarian and that is very dangerous thing, I sometimes want to erase any hope of ever getting some sanity or pride which really shows how far the arms length tactics of our club is destroying any good faith we have.

But the weirdest part is, that Wenger no longer seems capable of CONSTRUCTING a squad; he seems to be in this endless cycle of deconstructing and reconstructing. Almost like he needs to completely tear things down so he can rebuild - for example, when he refused to bring in reinforcements in van Persie's last season, then brought in three new players to replace him when he left. Or when he refused to strengthen to ease the pressure on Fabregas, only to bring in five new players while he was still on the plane to Barcelona.

Wenger in now in the tenth year of a three year re-building program. Arsenal FC need some "football" people in the decision making process before there are a lot of empty seats. Mr. Wenger: "thank you and good-bye".

You have a point there, I still think he is struggling to compete with the likes of Jose and rich clubs because they outbid him or he doesn't like to waste money which absolutely ridiculous with our rivals never shy to buy quality. Tactically, he is becoming naive and it shows, we can kill little teams but other than Dortmund, I don't remember us beating anyone of significance forget pool and spurs. He will get the benefit of any doubt until May and I don't have to tell him how we see things which is completely on opposite poles.

We need someone to lessen Arsene's workload, he needs to relinquish control of some of the off-field stuff.

I doubt it, because he is operating in a bubble and once we use to love the way he protects his players, it seems the modern players are beast at heart all they care is their bank balance and maybe he needs to take a leaf from the so called modern era managers like Pep or Jose, treat them nice when they slave for you and give them a kick and a fine or bench like Cashley when they fool around.

you built a new stadium and stayed in the top4

you sound like spoilt children

the first year you actually had a transfer budget and you're a point off top in feb

FFS, get a grip on reality

you've been shackled financially for almost a decide and you're still in the CL and in with a shout of the title

and with Chelsea and City on the scene you should be at least 20 points outof the running at this point

I think you're underestimating what you've acheived

Keep the trust and keep day dreaming and hope for miracles, and don't judge fans because they care for their club, judge the people who we loyally send our hard earned money because we have the right to speak up or forever be gagged and that day is getting closer by the minutes with fans like you trolling the company's play book.

Thanks but don't you come here and tell us how we have it all by comparing us to you. Firstly, your team played well and got us a whopping we deserve, secondly, by asking us to accept status quo of top four while paying the highest tickets on earth seems condescending. Finally, don't you have to worry about your own club stagnation before this season which tbh, I still think you will never go anywhere near fourth and our bitter neighbours will just nick it and Suarez will pack his bags and that should occupy your curiosity not us, bye.

I didn't compare us to you

I just paid your manager a huge compliment and rightly called you spoilt children. becuase you are

other than wenger, give me one reason why you shouldn't be league whipping boys. Just one. There isn't one.

You should realistically be in about 8th place.

I want to be challenging in the PL and win a trophy at least. I'm trying to stay positive but signs don't look to good at the moment.

Very few gooners here who are balanced in their thoughts about our great under achieving club. We either get some aerie silence when we speak up our mind or get labelled some traitors. My head says it is last chance saloon for Mr Wenger after many years of good and so bad memories. My heart says let's give him one last shot of defining himself and he might actually prove us wrong. Yes he faces obstacles from big spenders and we face a new era of player power. But, if he spend wisely, consolidate from what works and erase the bad aspects that drives us mad, then he is a genius and I still think he is a genius. Look where we are it is not by chance, but why not take advantage of this golden opportunity when the oligarchs and sheikhs have new manager and win something and give your club some much needed confidence and that means getting Draxler or another talent who can boost our chances. But, we are either overconfident or Wenger knows we only need his usual top four to be judged, this time he cannot count on our sympathy.

You better take that back, we pay the third highest wages and getting even higher every season and that alone merit winning trophies, now like I said, it is time you concentrate on your excellent season and hope you make it to planet Rodgers.

"or Wenger knows we only need his usual top four to be judged"

I overexagerrated

you should be 10th+ based on the investment in players. Wenger makes top 4 on a bottom half budget look easy

"I want to be challenging in the PL and win a trophy at least. "

why should you? give me one reason you should. I can't think of a single reason other than Wenger that anyone even talks about Arsenal. You should be 10 points behind Spurs minimum.

FFS, why don't you get it.

your topic is no different from every other " wenger out " braindead topic from our plastic fans whenever we lose -

what are you saying -- wenger should fear for his job whenever we lose even if we are still in contention for everything and still assured of a top 4 place ??

Wrong again, wages my friend wages, that speaks volume, I remember some of your fans are begging our board to reduce tickets to manageable fee I the upcoming FA Cup, why do you think a decent scouser hates paying over the odds while we the season ticket holders have no say on how our club is run, you need to think my friend don't be fooled by our position, we have this big stadium for a reason you know, to win things, not to finish 10th and stop talking about transfer spending, heck Spurs spent £100m are they a big club? you forked fortune on two players does that mean you should be 3rd?

Are you suggesting we should just get on with it and hope to win nothing and finish fourth, does that satisfy you, is that what we have become. Our club must aim higher like Bayern, get good players not dead woods and perform to our best ability.

you spent +32.5 million
Spurs spent -3.8 million (yes negative spend, they should have become worse)

WTF are you talking about
