You hear what you want to Griff, it would easily to highlight that you've picked a Forest negative as part of your 606 identity

At least he has one. You don't

Not commented for a while but just looked on Forest board. I see the Rev has lost all logic again abusing his own fans because they dare to disagree with him. I am a loss as to how he could be a man of the cloth with how he behaves with his diva style tantrums.

Seemed like Forest had a virtual bye to the semi-final when the draw came out, and if the balls had come out right for the semis it could have been a team like Hull to play against. At the worst it should have been an FA Cup semi-final, a fantastic day out, and these don't come around very often.

If it was me, I'd be gutted. As a fan you have to be really disappointed when you miss out on such a golden opportunity.

My name on here related to my team, identity is the wrong word. I do think that having a name that refers to a negative in rivals takes something away when discussing points that should have perspective about that.

Names time on any anon msg board are just a current time tag. I don't have your attachment to your tags

Vidal, in all honesty I was disappointed. You hear a possible route to a semi when 1 up in the fifth round, you don't want to get ahead but it looks easier (on paper than it could have been). Plus it's the blunts who we have history with, but it's already drifted away. I suppose it comes down to thinking we have little chance of winning the thing.

Had it been late 80's or early 90's I would have been a lot more upset at failing to get at least a semi

Reminds me of the time in the 80s, 83 maybe, when we were near the bottom of the second division and drew Plymouth of the third away in the quarter-final. We drew nil-nil away and by the time of the replay knew that the semi-final would be against Watford. Wembley beckoned (where we would almost certainly have lost to Everton). The queues for the replay meant I didn't get into the ground until 25 minutes had gone, and it wasn't until half-time that I found out we were losing to a goal direct from a corner which Steve Cherry contrived to miss completely. That was a real chance missed. Forest will be kicking themselves at this one..

1991 was a particularly bitter pill to swallows as most with affection to BC wanted him to finally get his FA Cup, one if the few he didn't win. Now that was upsetting, and when it comes down to it pales most others that have followed in total insignificance.

I can still remember the never ending silence while waiting for the Spurs fans to get back to their cars in the Wembley car park, so we could silently drife home

Point is Vidal, we've had more chance and been disappointed before. It's like England these days, even when the bigger sides go out. You know you stand little chance. We're both top end div 2 sides

Millwall got to the final in a similar year quite recently, so it's certainly possible. Looking at who was left in, there was certainly a chance of the final, especially if, say, Arsenal ended up against Man City in one of the semis. Gone now though.

It does happen but it didn't, we had what appears to have been a good path to the semi. But you've got to beat those sides and keep going with the priority. I don't really feel much about it now, sorry

Bradford City were in the final of the League cup last season but they did manage to beat a couple of premiership teams on the way. The cups might be a pain for most clubs but occasionally they can be a real money spinner. We probably made more from our one game against Chelsea than Forest did from the four games they have played.

No need to be sorry Jack, in fact I almost envy you. It must be quite pleasant being the sort of supporter who doesn't really mind that much one way or the other. Maybe it's that sort of apathy amongst the supporters that gets through to the players - Davies said Sheff United had more hunger than Forest for the victory.

You're trying to generate disappointment, that's desperate
