So important to win tomorrow

Totally agree Biggish. Tomorrow could be the game that wins or loses us the title. It really is that important.

A win tomorrow would give us a 9 point lead over City I believe (albeit with games in hand) which would be a huge psychological boost.

Knowing that they have to claw back a 9 point gap would put huge pressure on them.

Also if City get knocked out of the CL by Barca which seems likely then it could shake their confidence a bit and raise a few doubts in their minds.

I hope that the players realise how important a win is tomorrow. Most important game of the season so far

I still believe City have the tools to overcome us Biggish.

While I don't see us losing too many, we still aren't playing that well, that we will brush aside all put in front of us and a lack of goals is going to cost us IMO.

I keep hearing in the media that Chelsea are 'playing to well'. Not exactly as I see it, as we've struggled to overcome sides like West Ham, West Brom, Everton and even Fulham was a poor performance at half time. In fact the only game were we looked the part for a while was against City.

Many of our performances still look too laboured to me and without the form Hazard has been of late, we'd probably be quite away from the position we are in now.

I still think Matic needs a good midfield partner and it goes without saying we need a striker!

Brummie.....

I agree with all of your post, but I do think a win tomorrow and a 9 point lead gives us our best possible chance of winning the title...

Of course they do Brummie, City are better than us. That's not really the point though.

The point is that if we can open up a nine point lead over City then it would add huge pressure on them because they would have to win all three of their games in hand.

9 point lead over City I mean

If you only look at the squads then ofcourse we are not as good as City, throw the managers in the mix and it's a different argument.

Such a difficult title race to call.

I get the argument that City going out to Barca could dent their confidence, however, there's still a domestic treble on for them so it shouldn't have that big an effect.

I wonder how much of an effect Chelsea's cl run will have on the fitness of their squad, though.

Agreed Biggish, I think that's the one ace we have in the hand, City's Cup runs may work against them. For that reason I like to see them beat Barca! (Well I'd like to see Barca beaten anyway )

RS, nice of you to say so

You think, Biggish?

I think you'll be fired up at the Bridge and Gala are pretty crap.

But you'll potentially have a really tough quarter final to play (unless you draw Olympiacos ) play and the intensity you'll have to play at in those games could see you have a bit of a hangover in the league.

City have some tough away ties, though, so it's not going to be plain sailing for either side.

City aint $hit, they'll struggle to even come 2nd

I actually think that going out against Gala would give us a much better shot of winning the title -provided we beat Spurs this weekend.

Had we not got knocked out of the CL by Inter in 2010 I'm not sure we would have gone on to win the title that season. Or the Double for that matter.

Going out of the CL can give a side much needed focus in the PL.

Want us to beat Galatasaray and Spurs.
Barca can beat City for all I care.
