If he hadn't come back we'd probably be on here slagging off Cellino and chanting Bring Back Brian...........as it is...........we're doing the opposite ...........
as i keep saying the problem with Mcdermott is his style of football, which is too direct and won't work at a club like Leeds for which opposing teams set up to give nothing away against us. He could get away with it at Reading and sneak out lots of battling results, it wont work here, no one wants to lose against us. All the top six clubs play possession football, it is no coincidence they are all in the top six.
Highland
I said Brian should be sacked months ago, I even said before we hired him he was the wrong man. The problem with his sacking was the way it was done, Cellino's dodgy lawyer doing it over the phone when Cellino did not even own the club was really disgraceful. Cellino should have waited quietly in the background and he might own the club now and be three to appoint his own choice with no controversy
Ive had enough of his football now but tbf he's being hung out to dry by Haigh and the rest of them. He is having to face up to the media and answer questions on the whole embarrassing farce.
Where the fck.ing hell is Haigh? Why doesn't he say something?
what happens in the pitch has nothing to do with whats going on off it, that is just an excuse. The problems with Mcdermott's team were obvious months ago before any talk of takeover even began. When footballers step on the pitch they just let their ability do the talking. I can remember in the 02/03 season Harry Kewell's demeanor on the pitch was that of a man who looked as though he did not care whether Leeds stayed up or went down, but he still scored the goals that kept Leeds up. The fact these players simply aren't good enough and the system of play is years out of date, which is being brutally exposed every week, long before we had even heard the word 'Cellino', the performances of Mcdermott's team were just scrappy and poor, totally lacking in quality or invention
If he thinks it's bad now. What will Mcdermott do to lift his players,if Cellino doesn't get the club and they think they are not going to get paid.No skill,No pace,No idea and No money.Hopefully we can limp to end of season and regroup.
forever, what's been going on at this club has been going on before McD came to it!..
"what happens in the pitch has nothing to do with whats going on off it,"
Yep, the same as what happens at the FL, it has nothing to do with us, but it goes one way we'll be happy, the other and our world will fall apart!..
players going on the pitch getting paid by someone that doesn't own the club, and that same person saying he's not going to fund them for much longer!..
I'd say what goes on off the pitch has a hell off a lot to do with what's going on it!..
Isn't it odd that every time we fall apart we're in the middle off a takeover, here's hoping someone comes in with the intention of saying well at long last I've got what I want, now to give you what you want!..
Germany
we fell apart completely in september
Millwall away was a complete farce as was a Derby side who had only won once at home ive we have our opinions on this but negative football wont make any player better nor will breed confidence
how can you play well fearing a reaction if you make a bit of a mistake?
Forgotten, it boils down to one of two things!..
The Board!..
The Manager!..
So, some say the manager, ok, fair enough, he takes the rap when it all zits up like it always has for however many years!..
Some say the board, ok, fair enough, but they can give whats needed or they can stab you in the back!..
Players brought in are not what the manager wanted, they are what were forced onto him!..
We had someone that everybody said was doing it for his own needs!..
Yep. I do think he set us up for the fall we are now in!..
The board now, well, its not a Footballing board is it?..
Some said they'll not have a clue,(I said let them show us what they can do!)as always someone has something against my way of thinking, but I'll own up and say "they haven't a fluppin clue!"..
Money went missing when Kenny was incharge, these bods are suffering the contracts of a past manager that it must be said didn't have a soft spot for Leeds United!..
Was he and Kenny really just drinking coffee on their first meet?..
These long contracts had to be rubber stamped, and they were done by someone that just might have known he was leaving!..
What a way to keep the money flooding out the in door eh?..
People have said we need someone with Billions to take this club forward, so, has the bod talking with Harvey really got enough and would he use it to do what is needed?..
A club losing money as long as we have been makes life for a manager as hard as it could get!..
And that won't/don't matter who the manager might be!..
Not so long ago, we were looking up the table at the gap above us and, maybe for some, dreaming of playoffs. I don't know about you guys, but when I look at the league table now, I am looking at the gap behind us. We're down to 15th place and fifteen points clear of the drop with 12 games left. Another possible/probable defeat at Burnley and that would be three on the trot. Confidence will drop still further and with the takeover in danger of collapse, morale could hit rock bottom. If that gap gets to single figures, I'll start to get a little more uncomfortable.
Germany i do think its a collective thing i do
as i also thinks theres plenty of deadwood hanging round
but again the tactics and team selections and the negative style is whats killing us on the pitch
Mcdermott should start picking the right team, motivate the players and use the right tactics. All he appears to do now is play the upheaval off the field card.Let's get a few wins, scrape to the end of season with enough points, and then the big clearout can begin. It seems that the only person apart from us fans that really care about the club is Cellino.I hope to god he gets the club, and then we will see all the shirkers and shysters shown the door, and replaced by people that gets the passion and pride back..
KevT i really dont know where the next win is!
LUFCG, I have to disagree with a portion of your comments, just a portion mind
The players BM brought in were his own choices, he went after'em and signed'em up for a reason only beknown to BM it seems, cos the fans ain't got a clue any more..
Sorry, I meant to say with the exception of Gelding and Strawmaker, or was that haymaker, I'm confused; they seem to be the experts on all things Leeds.
Smith we can see why he signed him, what confuses us is, he scores goals and doesn't get full games.........that one is definitely food for thought.
Stewart, Kebe and the others sitting on bench or don't make the bench, why'd he buy'em and bring'em in if he ain't going to use'em, that's squandering LUFC money which we seem to need right now.
BM said he was after Kebe for a long time.
Irrespective of what's happening off field, BM and the players are professionals and should be acting as such, it's their choice not to, question is, WHY?
I have just again watched McDermott's press conference. And once again been astounded by what he has to say after the Reading game. We could have won the game 5-4 then later drawn 4-4. Why not be totally honest and say really how bad his team were.
In Eddie Grey's interview he said that the team were dire in the first half and could have been two or three goals down by half time.
The evidence is on the pitch we were awful in both games. As others have said this has been going on for a long time, way before any talk of a Take Over, which according to the management is the reason we have been playing so badly
Has the Take Over stopped us being able to pass the ball to a team mate, of course not.
With McDermott we have another Warnock, an exponent of lumping the ball forward. Again I say that never before have I called for the head of the manager. But this man is a busted flush and must go one way or another.
Do not feel too sorry for him, when he eventually leaves our club he will have a handy packet to tuck into his wallet.
His latest protestations that they can draw comfort from the way we played in the last half hour do seem to suggest that Mr McDermott is clutching at straws.
4-0 down one might suggest that an element of complacency had set in amongst the Reading camp hence the "remarkable comeback" (that actually wasn't a comeback).
It's all a bit desperate isn't it?
"It's all a bit desperate isn't it?"
Spot on, its been so desperate for so many years nobody knows what the other is doing!..
Luvr, everybody disagrees with everyone at some time, if they didn't than life would be a bore!.
Kebe, that'll be one of them "well he did brilliantly for me before, and I can rely on him doing a good job again!"..
Just this time it hasn't worked out the way he thought!..
Stewart, a youngster that he saw for the future, he was/is trying to build for the future, or at least that's what some thought!..
"Irrespective of what's happening off field, BM and the players are professionals and should be acting as such, it's their choice not to, question is, WHY?"
So, looking at the Udders game, and the players going public saying they did it for McD, then I'd put a big lump of blame on the player's, it odd how they produce one off if not their best game off the season when something like what did happened!..
Your right, they are all professionals!..
Carthorses comes to mind!.
They put the shirt on, and expect everybody to love them for it, nah, the days when love was dished out for the name on the shirt are long gone, if they want that love they should show the commitment and respect that shirt deserves!..
The sham is the players, but then, if someone else was paying your wages and you ain't to sure for how long, would you feel right in your work place!..
Lots of reasons for the crap, but I'd think that's a big enough reason on its own!..
magnsheba, you say:
Again I say that never before have I called for the head of the manager. But this man is a busted flush and must go one way or another.
You've done quite a u turn from telling people that BM needed to be given time eh?

H the Idiot, you really do live up to your name. Of course Brian needs time to get things right. I really believe people like you want everything to fail. You are not a true supporter so should go away and hide under a rock somewhere
Jonty, yes look at the date when I made that statement:
19th January, at that time I was ready to give the man a chance.
Since then I with a lot of other people have come to realize he simply cannot handle the job. When he first came in I really thought he was a manager who could take the club forward. But then again, as an employer, because I believe as supporters we are employers, have to evaluate what is put in front of us.
And what has been presented to us in the name of our team does not equate to value for money.
In any business when a group of people are not performing to the best of their ability, the blame goes to the head, to the manager. If he cannot find a way to turn things round then he falls and is replaced.
Of course we have a different situation here, still waiting to see if we get a new owner, and being in such dire straights, cannot afford to take the necessary action that a result of two wins in fifteen games warrants. We are as the saying goes, caught between a rock and a hard place.
That Jonty is why I had a U turn.
magn, we all change views as things change but maybe no need to call H an idiot for his point of view that you now support.
