The second he crumpled in a heap I thought that was our season over. That was my instantaneous reaction, my first impression.
He is the only player who is not a league 2 player in that side. The only supply line for our strikers.
Then I read that he might be back for the play-offs and I was a little more optimistic.
Errrr....where is Gary Alexander by the way? Is he injured and I have simply missed that news?
Yes he is injured Otep mind you what ive seen of him i dont think hes any great shakes at all.Maybe he pulled his hamstring when he put his legs up on the coffee table,
All in all it has been an odd season with the new faces;
1. Alexander - not really happened for him.
2. Zeli - bad injury.
3. Delap - retired quite quickly.
4. Howe - packed bags by Christmas.
5. Reed - packed bags by Christmas.
6. Hussey - packed bags by Easter.
7. Pickford - back to Sunderland.
8. Siegrist - back to V***a.
9. Gray - a few fleeting appearances.
10. McGurk - now on the bench.
Edwards and Cansdell-Sherriff still play mind you.
I still think we should have signed Shaun Harrad. Bet he would have been happy to join us aswell.
I agree about Harrad. He's already scored 6 goals for Alfreton in 8 games (I think). Ok, it's a lower division, but he knows how to find the back of the net which our strikers seem unable to do at the moment.
