Apart from when it applies to your own club, of course.

Apparently Roberto Martinez is a possibility as man united manager...

What does everyone else think?

Without any improvement? Dec 2014.

Improvement, but still misses out on CL, next season.... June 2015.

woah, woah, woah, even he spends 100-150m in the summer? you'd still accept no CL football, jesus christ

Actually if Fergie is around, Martinez wouldn't get the gig.

Although Martinez backtracked about Fergie leading some British manager clique, Fergie doesn't forget easily.

David Moyes to spend 100-150m of our cash. Jesus christ

dont think we'll be appointing anyone who does well at a lesser side in the PL again after this farce, chase the best, because the best is all that will do

I think once the likes of Vidic, Evra and Cleverley are out of our side more regularly and we bring in a top left back and a top CB and a top CM then maybe Moyes' sides will be more successful.

And most of all, once he solves the RVP/Rooney problem we'll look much better.

As seen against West Brom and Leverkusen, we look far better when we have one of them in the team rather than both.

do you really think he's going to drop one of them? or will he be praying for an injury to one of them

Minus 8 months - Terrible manager for utd

I don't think he'll drop one of them this season. But I do think something is up with RVP and he'll be off this summer.

I can't see why the club spent £37 million on a player who won't (long term) get the chance to play in his best position.

There's no way the Glazers would allow that.

You have no evidence that Moyes can become successful.

You have bucketfulls of it right in front of you to suggest he isn't going to be.

The guy just doesn't have what it takes.

We will hardly attract "TOP" players with Moyes in charge. Best chance to attract TOP players was last summer when moyes was still unknown entity as a manager of TOP club. And moyes doesn't have balls to drop either rooney or rvp.

I really do think this could be an issue in the summer.

Man U need replacements for Evra, Vidic, and get a right back, spend more in the midfield, gain anywhere wide player and possibly another striker.

That's 6-7 players!

I can't think of a better manager to get these in that Moyes.

Potential to put Manchester United back years through poor signings and leaving the budget hamstrung with hefty pay packets.

You may be right. But I can see how certain positions of the pitch are weak links and IF Moyes can bring in players he wants then maybe he will have a better team to call on.

For example, surely even the biggest Moyes critic can accept that having a weak link like Evra in the side is like going to war with a hole in your boots?

Once we bring in a quality left back that instantly makes us better. And like you say VC, Carrick is becoming a liability. Once we get a far more mobile CM in then maybe the middle of the part won't be so open.

I agree that Moyes may not be the man. But I personally hope he gets the chance to improve some obvious deficiencies that all of us can see need improving.
