Everyone may not agree with the Peace Plan but at least we will never be in any danger of following the likes of Leeds, Portsmouth and other clubs who have been on the brink of going bust. Plus with Pepe Mel in charge, we have a head coach who excels at clubs with either little spending power like Real Betis or who put safety first when it comes to money like Albion.

I understand Wolves losing that much with double relegation. But, how in the fack of all fackers life are we in that much debt!?

Don't think anyone can deny Peace is an excellent accountant. He looks after finances very well and we churn out profits or break even most seasons. However, even with business acumen Peace has little football knowledge and neither do many of the people at board level. That is what is hurting us this season.

Much as JP and whoever have screwed up in the transfer market by failing to secure cover for Billy, replacement for Ridgewell along with the BIG mistake of signing Nicolas Ansulka and letting Long go without a goalscoring replacement lined up, you have to admire the prudence with which JP runs the club financially.

Leeds United can't pay their players. Portsmouth are on the brink of dropping out of league football.... Enough said !

Many people, including Ben Foster, are querying why we 'let' Shane Long go. The fact is, he didn't want to sign the contract we offered him, and since his goals had dried up somewhat, Albion took the calculated gamble of 'letting' him leave. That he chose to sign for Hull City for a reported £50,000 a week tells you where most footballers' ambitions lie - at the bank - and I don't think you can blame them for that. But Albion hardly 'let' him go.
Agree with Baggie Man that Nicolas Anelka was a waste of space - a Steve Clarke luxury and a gamble that never looked likely to pay off.

Not just footballers Aries, most people's ambitions lie with their bank account. The problem with Long is that WBA did not show enough ambition or foresight to want to retain his services and we will pay for it. We know strikers are like gold dust and we've replaced with IMO a sicknote.
