McManus was good and seemed to be improving his game when he played beside balde

then comes along Caldwell thinking he is some sort of beckenbaur hybrid

McManus had him on one side and lee Naylor on the other

fakin maldini would have looked poor bside they trumpets

McManus was a converted Attacking Midfielder.... And it showed.. He can be proud of his career though, he made the most of his limited talent. He always seemed the humble, level headed type, which is more than could be said for most modern footballers.

How many times did McManus have to sprint out to cover for Lee? more often than he should have had to, leaving a gap that Gary never ever fecking filled, mair holes than a sieve some matches

The two of them were as bad as each other.... McMannus Celtic career should have been over the night he volleyed Andrew Driver.... never was and never would have been good enough for Celtic.

He got away with murder because we had guys banging them in up the other end

Campbell that is a fair point, he was and still seems to be a very decent fellah, but as said he was part of a fairly poor defemsive unit where he was perhaps the best part but Dennis nailed it, he could have been world class and still toiled in that unit

rnr looking forward to the game, think they will be right up for it, if we played a few more of the youngs it could be a decent comparision of how our younger players stack up
