The soap opera continues!
If true means it's unlikely TL are backed by Bates
jonty .... will you be pleased with this deal?? i know your dislike of cellino! haha
If they are so interested, all TL has to do is buy the remaining 25% shares that GFH hold. Not that difficult for people that are so concerned about LUFC.
Forgotten, I want to know more about the structure of the deal first.
Both parties claim to have the money to do the deal, so why exactly do they suddenly feel the need to partner with each other, especially as TL say partnership is off if Cellino's appeal fails.
Need more details.
I hope this is not true. Set of chancers should stay out of it!
jonty .... devil in the detail where does it say about the appeal??
Jonty, if this is true it confirms a few things:
Cellino really feels he can help
Cellino knows his appeal is doomed
Cellino knows his only hope is to have front men
And biggest of all, and what I suspected all along, TL haven't got a pot to urinate in.
I doubt Cellino would associate himself with anyone that doesn't have a pot to p!$$ in.
Maybe he would if he knew his money and their ability to get passed fit and proper by the FL, thanks to TL being part of the old boys network. MC wants us for football reasons. This might be his only shot?
Granted, this could all be more social chatter.
Don't want Farnan LIW. But, don't want GFH or Bates
Much, much more.
Would rather 100% Massimo. However, If having to add TL to this, gets us MC and no admin. Will take it.
Besides, i reckon MC would plot to get rid of FL eventually.
Cellino has the money, we all know that.
Rumour is TL don't
Cellino cannot pass fit and proper test
I can imagine TL can
Working off that assumption, think we all know what the others wants.
This is the statement from Farnan:
"Massimo Cellino and Eleonora Sport Limited have been in and continue to be in discussions with Mike Farnan regarding strategy, partnership, cooperation. The talks have been very constructive.
Everyone should be excited by these discussions as they are in the best interests of all parties including the Football League, Leeds United, its players and staff and, most importantly, its loyal and enduring fans."
It is believed a deal between Cellino and Farnan would involve a complete buyout of Leeds United and not a 75 per cent controlling stake in the club that is currently on the table.
------------------------------------------
A complete buy out of GFH now that is good news.

"Both parties claim to have the money to do the deal, so why exactly do they suddenly feel the need to partner with each other"

Yes but that was with GFH holding on to 25%. It is believed this Farnan/Cellino combo buyout will include that 25% so more funds required, hence joint bid.
Does anyone know if farnan is well respected for the work he has done at them and other clubs?

If either need someone else to fund the other 25%, they hardly any money
This by Farnan is noteworthy
"Everyone should be excited by these discussions as they are in the best interests of all parties including the Football League"
----------------------
Looks like they are going to come up with a scheme that obviates the FL fit and proper rules.
I thought GHF wsnted a stake for investment.
My guess is they will somehow wrangle it to use Cellinos money
, Farnam becomes chairman (with something written in that Cellinos investment is protected and rewarded).
maybe he buys 9.9% of LUFC, ER and TA with his money and TL put in the rest. It would mean an outlay of about £28m for both parties.
I think it's hard to make any judgment until we know the full details.
@APOPEY: #lufc TogetherLeeds say they will work with Cellino & Eleonora Sport whether his appeal v Football League is successful or not.
A compromise, a large slice of humble pie eaten by one or more, Farnan gets his name in, Cellino gets his club.
The FL approve it and the club gets new owners.
A couple of years down the line everything is rosie.
That's how these folk work. Enemies one day best buddies the next.
Interesting developments if true.
What's interesting is it looks like who ever is going to buy it, will be buying off cellino not gfh
