Maybe Guidetti might be good for us in the Championship but I dont know enough about him to really judge

Where have you heard this? Guidetti is a good talent and scored bags of goals at Feyenoord but hasn't made a huge impact at Stoke this season. I'd be quite keen on us getting him if we get rid of Miller, Derbyshire, Tudgay and possibly Hendo. Samaras would probably score goals in this league but he's getting on a bit.

Got it off newsnow. Its in one top stories. Cant post the link on my phone.
The fact that he is 21 interests me. To be young and have had experienced some success would probably stand him in good stead.
Also the more i think about it, SP is probably looking to mold a team of his character At least the spine of the squad. No effing about! I think its going to interesting and hopefully a wonderfully refreshing to see at Forest.

Quality v quantity.
Yes we have got LOTS of 'strikers' ..... But how many of them would you back to go round a keeper and put a 1 on 1 away..... Probably none of them.
We've got premier league quality all over the pitch. Except for arguably the most important position!!
Just my opinion (so obviously it's correct! )

It's a shame that your strikers, such as they are, will not get the opportunity to show Pearce what they're about in training and let him judge for himself their value (or otherwise) to his squad.

To judge them on the inane tactics of the Poison Dwarf is a tad harsh. Miller looks really quite handy even in a poor Yeovil side; with some actual service, he could be a 20+ scorer for you, and costs nowt!

If Pearce is going to try to buy a new side to mould in his image without weighing up the squad first, you're in for a long haul in the Championship as you're effectively starting again. This is a squad you all thought should be challenging for autos but injuries and poor management have cost you, so why do you need a whole new strikeforce?

Miller costs a lot more than nowt unfortunately 666!

I agree though that he should have a look at the squad first because it is very strong if you include the loan players who might join permanently. I'd be gutted if we didn't sign Vaughan. Striker wise, he may have worked with Derbyshire at the U21s, who was a very handy player for them. Miller is another who probably played U21s under Pearce. Shame we haven't still got Chalobah because he was made captain by Pearce I think.

David James is available for free and Pearce has played him as a striker before..

I wouldn't expect Pearce to be making any signings or recommendations before he starts, I think he knows better than that. He needs to be training with the players first of all and look at assessing the strikers he has.

Miller, Derbyshire and Tudgay are all out of contract in the summer and if he was interested in any of those I am sure they wouldn't be offering as generous terms for the first two at least. There was suggestion that Pearce is going to do some work to judge what we have, what we need etc

He has already been watching the squad and no one said anything about buying a team. He knows we have quality players already. These were said in the press conference.

Didn't he say that he wants to bring youth players through combined with activity in the transfer market?

We have a lot of strikers now but Derbyshire and Miller are deffo out of contract. Think Hendo might be, Tudgay is. All of a sudden we haven't got that many. The lad from City is highly rated supposed to be top lad too. But I wouldn't read to much into these things. When a manager gets a new job he's always linked with former players.

Henderson isn't out of contract, has at least another season left and option for a third.

I wouldn't be surprised if Hendo is just the sort of player that SP can fire up and get him scoring regularly again.

Im glad Henderson has a bit left on his contract as he has been useful on occasion, scoring goals with his hands and also very good at elbowing Derby cants in the face.

That about sums him up Tyler. Sadly for RFB he is playing at his maximum so won't get any better even if he had MaClaren as his manager.

I think only Henderson, Mackie and Cox have a future at Forest. The rest will be on their way to free up wages. None have ever really grasped their chance and Forest can't afford to wait around for them.
