Who cares where they are...?

The cheeries have succeeded over the drearies

Savour the moment, they'll come out of their caves when something minor occurs...!!

That will be the time to swat them off.

They will be picking over the ruling to find anything at all that means it's all going to go Pete Tong!

Very noticeable by their absence!

I thought I was a dreary?!

At best I had splinters in my ar5e!

Fantastic. My household has returned to normal. I may even purchase a season ticket for next season such is the anticipation in the Dee home!

Buy one for me Stevie and give it to a Leeds fan who can't afford to go to matches......................at your expense of course

Stefano...

You have never been a dreary, you are a wise sage.

A fence sitter is not a dreary.

Let the mayhem begin..!

Stevie ............. I don't always agree with what you type, and i'm sure you feel the same about my inane dribble at times. But I do respect your opinion - you're certainly not a dreary !!!

Perhaps "Dreary 1" is part of the FL panel and is like Stoopo says frantically picking through outcome, to try and cause more issues for our club.

A drop in season ticket prices would be a welcome bonus....but maybe that's asking too much!

sign of things to come?

He wont change the habit of a lifetime now he has come to Leeds. This is my only concern regarding MC, I fear we will never have a settled manager....time will tell

Good or bad, we are in for 1 helluva ride.

I'm a dreary cheery, or possibly on a good day a cheery dreary

My head tells me there is a lot that is less than ideal in big C. But as a fan I am looking forward to some interesting times and, just maybe, some footballing success

From my position of ignorance, having never seen the management accounts, I remain of the view that anyone prepared to invest 60-70m+ to buy club and supporting real estate and spend a bit on the team, could end up with substantial capital gains . And that our recent problems have been due to having owners without a long term plan and instead wanting short term profits. I am fairly sure big C wants Leeds in order to make long term capital gains not short term profits........ Mind you I thought Bates did as well initially (in his case I remain puzzled what his business plan was, did it just go wrong or what? - but that's another topic)

I'm just glad it's all done and dusted and we can move on....it should make for the most exciting pre-season we have had in 10 years though!

And fence sitting is a lifestyle choice, some of us just enjoy it for its sensual aspects

We do seem to be one light...

Like most posters, I am relieved that we will still be in existence next season, hopefully in the Championship.
And while I respect Hail and Stefano for their considered opinions, the champagne is on ice in our household. As Gelderd wisely states, this is a club owner who fires first and asks questions afterwards.
So I am expecting to see Brian getting his P45 along with a number of players who are past their sell-by date, but who would be crazy enough to manage Leeds after all the mayhem of the past decade, under an owner who is so quick to put the boot in?
We may welcome him warmly today, but in 9 months time, without Ross banging in the goals, where do you think we will be?
I hope Cellino is the answer to our prayers and not just another nightmare.

1. There is no such thing as a cheery dreary. Fact. If you're a dreary that's it.

2. There could be a dreary cheery, that I'll grant you. Anyone that is married knows that underneath that nagged exterior there is a happiness only a decent game of football, a few pints with the mates, a decent fry-up and possibly the intervention of a woman with the body of Kelly Brook un-clad can bring out.

3. Fence sitting is a lifestyle choice, and it's better than railings. But fences tend to splinter and can sometimes bite you on your ar5e. A solid brick wall is better.

and

4. I have never considered you a dreary (cheery or otherwise). Like StefanoDee you produce wisdom at the turn of a switch. The drearies of which I speak (well known to all) are dreary drearies, they are like this all the time, and I mean all the time.

This sadly overpowers their occasional wisdom.

There, see, I laugh in the face of the drearies...!

Mike...

It's more than one.

The wife of brian .......... I totally understand your reservations. Don't get me wrong, I hope we're not switching from one manager to the next every time we get a couple of bad results. Stability is what our club needs more than anything else.

I do think this guy will put money into squad building. Will Ross leave? Perhaps we'll have Ross, plus 1 or 2 more strikers of equal or better ability if Massimo is serious about a promotion tilt?

I suspect we'll have a couple of "wow" signings. Players that give the crowd some excitement - not the endless conveyor belt of journeymen and gambles we've had for the best part of 10 years.

posted on 7/4/14

Can't see him throwing money into the playing squad, there is no evidence of him ever doing this in the past, but he knows there is more to buying the right footballer for the club and proved this also with some of the players Cagliari have, so I think we'll see some good players coming in this summer.

Going to be interesting to say the least, good or bad non of us really know and arguments from both sides are welcome on here if you ask me, agree with them or not.

Lets not forget the chaos he and GFH caused on Jan 31st.

Anyone wan't to do a sweepstake on when BMD will be gone?

I'll say end of the week depending on the Watford result.

posted on 7/4/14

H'Gate ............... I give BM until Saturday evening.

If we lose the next 2 games, it'll be bye bye time. Saying that if we get turned over badly tomorrow night then it could be that soon.

I think even Cellino knows that the current squad is way short - if he's buying the club/ground/TA etc .... then i'm sure he's budgeting for putting a decent squad together ..... get your point about his history mind .......

posted on 7/4/14

When i say throwing money in, i don't mean he won't invest, just don't see him spending millions and millions.

posted on 7/4/14

Anything more than £4.50 and we'll be breaking the bank compared to the last few seasons !

On a serious note. I just hope we get a squad, regardless of how much they cost, who can actually kick, pass and control a ball.

of the current bunch who would we keep?

For me;

Byram
Pearce
Warnock
Murphy
Smith
Ross
Mowatt

Not sure i'd be bothered about keeping any others.

posted on 7/4/14

I'd be surprised to see McDermott here at the weekend. Cellino won't have completed the formalities before then and won't have the ability to shift him.

I reckon we'll see a temporary solution until the Summer but he'll have someone in mind.

Whichever way you look at it, change is required and quickly.
