I think his stock has plummeted, maybe damaged irreparably. He won't get a "top" job now.
After the lousy job he's done for us, not many fans of top half Premiership clubs would be happy to see him arrive.

He is a good PL manager as he's proved for many seasons, hence getting the job. He's just not 'Top4+' good.
There's certain managers who are good at doing a very specific job for a club and, like players, have a "level" that they are capable of performing at but if you want to get to the next level, you have to get someone else:
Promotion: Neil Warnock
Staying up: Sam Allardyce or Tony Pulis
Mid-table safety: Mark Hughes, Steve Bruce
Top 5-7 finish: David Moyes, Harry Redknapp
Top four: Harry Redknapp (again), Rafa Benitez, Arsene Wenger
Champions: Mourinho, Pep, SAF

Ah, forgot about Newcastle.
Newcastle seem to want to make Pardew's postion so untenable he feels forced to resign
hard to decide who's mugged off their club more with that long term contract, Pardew or Moyes
Back to Scotland or just chill out and count his millions.
