The media said 5-6 reportedly. Won't have been much more than 4m, never in a million years they offered 8m.

)....Shaun, sometimes in a funny way you are funny!.

Now, I wonder what could we get for Somma!.

Forget not, we could have done better but some had sticky fingers when he left!..

Now just think, without him we'd be in the same spot as we would now be without Ross's goals!.

Mine wasn't. Mine, many years ago, was the proverbial lawn mower without the grass box. Orange with gold go slower stripes. Had it for three months and got to know the RAC bods by their first names. My father, perversely proud of his bright yellow Skoda sports car, yes sports!!!, was the guilty party here convincing me that this was a bona fide purchase.

Needless to say I've never asked him again.....

We're all discussing the pro's and con's of selling our prize asset..!

The only thing that is different to when he posts is the value.

Surprised that got pulled, but hey ho, there you go.

Chorley

We rejected £8m from Cardiff in January.

If they had offered £8mil they could have had the whole squad

And a box in the East Stand........

And a full half sized programme

Cardiff never offered 8mill for Ross,

If they had do you think GFH would'ave jumped through hoops to sell him, course they would'ave.

I think from memory, best offer from Cardiff was 5 mill, and 4.5mill from WHU, give or take a couple of pence.

Ross is not worth 8 mill, he's a hot and cold player, he sulks and finds it very hard to play with other prolific strikers.

Smith was actually being claimed as a better asset to Palace than Ross cos of his size..

Those who idolise Ross are going to find things different next season if he stays, Cellino's bringing in other strikers, more pace, more passion and better strike power.

Can't see Ross scoring as many or playing every game even.

There are times when I think I maybe go to far in calling people out when they post rubbish, sometimes I feel like I may be picking on people....

but then when someone posts something as ridiculous as what you have just posted it brings it all back to light....you are by far the most idiotic person I have ever had to put up with on here! I actually think you have a problem....a mental problem!

Your like a deranged ex girlfriend! Do you want to tell us what Ross has done to you for you to have such a childish hatred of him? Its definitely not because you don't rate him because you never go to games and see what everyone else does....so what is it?

I'll reply to this one you knackered horse, I don't reply to your other childish tantrum throwing none-educational and lack of detail and football knowledge comments cos that's exactly what they are.

Firstly, you don't have a clue how many times I've watched Leeds play, considering your immature berating comments I'd say you're not very old, just a kid really, maybe that's just in your mind though.

I've played more football matches, at a decent high level, and seen Leeds play more than you've had hot dinners, even before you knew what ya -ick was for.

Considering I'm older than you, that makes sense.

People who ask or mention "how many games you been to" are scraping the barrel, it's an irrevelant question considering the different ages of people and the locations where they live.

Secondly, your knowledge of football, past and present is very little, maybe enough to fill an egg cup if that.

You berate and belittle other posters but never offer details or educated and knowledgeable reasons, but always come on to attack certain people with abusive comments.

The only people who jump on your bandwagon is other like minded people, very few infact, much to your dismay.

I have never ever said I hate Ross, you won't find a comment or post that says I hate Ross; so I suggest you do ya homework before making up lies that you hope others will jump on and join in with you.

Others may not know your game, but you're so transparent.

You mention I have a mental problem, well Mr knackered horse, you picked on the wrong person with that accusation.

People who continually abuse, berate, belittle, and embarrass others, which includes, but not limited to verbal abuse, emotional abuse, mental and Psychological abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse, text abuse, internet abuse ARE,

people who have obvious psychological and / or mental issues and problems.

The abuse, including some sexual and paedophilia abuse cases is designed, by the abuser to belittle their victims as much as possible in order to try and make them feel unworthy, useless, not wanted or liked, unintelligent, uneducated and stupid, thus attempting to convince their victims, and any other on lookers that they are lower and beneath the person doing the abusing.

The abuser will normally attract like minded people to himself / herself, thus forming a gang, partnership and even a relationship, either way the group of people are considered to be of low educational standards, low intelligence and more often than not very negative compared to normal acceptable social, community and cultural standards.

It is also known that most, if not all continual abusers have suffered some form of abuse during their childhood and teen upbringing.

There is a factual saying within the realms of Psychology and Psychiatry, abuse kids and you teach kids to abuse.

So, Mr Knackered horse, when you and others like you come on here to berate, belittle and abuse posters, those of us within the "sane" world so to speak, will know exactly why you're doing it.

You try and have a good life any way.

I read the first line....the rest is probably waffle as per!

so, ill ask again, how many games have you been to this season? Infact, how many games have you been to since Ross joined the club?

posted on 24/4/14

I've just read it....and WOW! What a load of tripe! I seriously pity you, I mean that! Shocked is the word at all that!

That bubble of yours must be awfully lonely.

Well this is nothing more than the old Becchio/Ross argument!..

Only its Ross/Smith!..

"Smith was actually being claimed as a better asset to Palace than Ross cos of his size.."

Well one reason we took him on I thought, but apart from people always having a go at Smith and saying he ain't that good or good enough yet!..

I'd love for one of you clued up computer users to look at time played/goals scored ratio Ross v Smith!..

I think Smith might end up being better then some give him credit!..

The lad has done fantastic since coming in!.

posted on 24/4/14

Smith is an asset as in a plan B, because of his presence in the air (he has games when he wins nothing) but I cant see a prem team wanting him, unless they haven't scouted him first. He would be as much use as Becchio has been in the prem.

Followed by this ??
"So, Mr Knackered horse, when you and others like you come on here to berate, belittle and abuse posters, those of us within the "sane" world so to speak, will know exactly why you're doing it."

Pot / Kettle

Anyway no-one can deny that Ross has worked his socks off this season, scored the goals that have kept us out of the relegation zone and has generally been our prized asset.
I don't want to see him go but if he does I for one wish him All the Best

Worked his socks off!
Thanks Highland, you reminded me of a certain Shaun Harvey there for a moment, remember him?
