While I think the injuries would have made a fairly interesting topic for debate, this seems to have gone off on a tenuously related tangent an eight of the way down to become mainly about Billy and theories relating to what went on.

Davies liked his teams to play at quite an intense level so training and matches were bound to take their toll.
Bullcrap Will. Derbys tempo and commitment was much higher than Forests for a whole season and yet we go into the playoffs with 1 injured player. Pre season training has to be very hard to strengthen the players for the season ahead. It won't prevent Knee ligament damage or a broken leg but it will help against torn hamstrings, groin injuries etc.
Well if you look at how the injuries were caused you can answer this yourself
1) Wilson long standing back injury from before he joined
2) cohen knee ligament caused during Burnley game
3) Hobbs ankle caused by impact during Bolton game
4) Lansbury back injury caused by impact during Yeovil
5) Lichaj hernia
6) Reid hamstring and calf
7) Vaughan cracked knee cap after being kicked in training
8) Darlow shoulder injury
9) fox family problems
I would say Reid and maybe lichaj could be put down to training programme
What, so an injury that happens on the pitch can't be impacted by poor conditioning during training? And. What about all the players that got injured and then rushed back and injured again?
Well I'm not one to believe in coincidences and I don't believe its possible that the same manager can have by far the largest amount of injuries, every single season!! As one of them said derby had one injury!! We had 12 out this season which is insane. The common denominator is Billy, clearly a major fault in his so called methods, not that he'd ever admit to it or even contemplate that he could be the reason for the mounting problems that was our injury list which put the nail in our season
He has gone, let's forget about him and learn from the experience going forward
Don't buy players who are coming back from serious injury.
Employ coach's that work for the club and not the manager.
Uphold the professional reputation of the club, otherwise other club's will not do business with us, irrespective of the owners wealth.
Len and bear, you're both correct.
Iwas, I would suggest a lot of it is also down to luck as well.
If you all know a training and conditioning programme that would have prevented vaughans, Cohens, Lansburys and Hobbs injuries then i suspect you going to make a lot of money
Its true that reid and lichaj were rushed back but that decision would not have been down to one person, and ultimately would have been the players choice
...and Darlow, I believe he got injured when he collided with Lascelles
I could see Davies in management again
maybe managing an off licence somewhere in Scotland or something like that
Honestly could not careless where Davies goes next
Just hope Pearce gets a decent chance
Good to see some coming to the realisation that injuries are not just bad luck at Forest. Leicester have invested a lot in sports science and injury prevention, something Billy wasn't bothered about. He would overuse players who had not had enough game time under previous clubs and then demand more signings when they got injured.
If Fawaz makes the investment in training and injury prevention and Pearce is sensible then forest will notice the difference next year. 1 or 2 injuries can be out down to bad luck but not 9 key players
Yea, it did seem an unnatural amount of injuries. Only businesses like football get away with failing to embrace new technology and ideas.
Met some Leicester fans in Nottingham last night. They enjoyed singing "We'll never play you again". I wished them all the best and hoped that they enjoyed their next season...
