I’m disappointed to be losing him now, we’re in a god position in the league and champions league.
I'm almost happy for him. It's harder for some of these South Americans than others in England. He'll certainly be happier in Spain.
Unfortunately we are now in a position where we lack that player who transitions our attacks from midfield. We will need to replace him.
105m up front and the rest in performance related addons.
We should get past Porto without him.

It doesn't make any sense really, of course the reported £145M must be tempting to any club but as you point out you're in a great position in both CL and PL. why not wait til the summer?

We have won 10 of 12 games without him this season so someone must have been doing it.
Sad to see him go but don’t begrudge him the move. We do need to reinvest the money on a replacement but it’s not like when Suárez left and we lost a huge amount of goals from the team. We’ve played well without him.
Firmino now the only Brazilian left.
Once he gets a 10 game ban next week he will probably be gone in the summer too.
Viva Africa
Monaco's Thomas Lemar is Liverpool’s main target, although the Ligue 1 club are reluctant to sell in this window, while there is no desire to sign Leicester's Riyad Mahrez at this stage, says James Pearce.
Firmino could play a little deeper if we bought an out and out striker (i.e. Aubemayang, not that he fits FSGs model)
A replacement would be ideal, but don't think we can get anyone who isn't cup tied in the CL. I prefer we don't rush it if we are not ready. Well be paying absolute top dollar for players now, we better be sure.
Hopefully Coutinho has done a Michael Owen, and we win the CL without him
With Klopp as manager I trust him to spend the money wisely on quality players.
Lemar would be a good replacement.

We were getting bargains before as well.
VVD for 7.5m and Keita for £6m.
Probably pay 10 times that now.
We did used to get bargains every now and then, yes.
I'm gutted
Definitely our best player and my favourite player too
Sad day
I know we'll be fine without him but he was just getting better and better and was so good to watch. Clearly approaching WC status. We should have waited till summer, a good world cup and another 30-40m easily in today's market
A real game changer and big match player too
Ozil is available for free in the summer
Is he our best player? Salah and Mane (on form) and Firmino are equally as important.
I'd rather have VVD than Coutinho to be honest given the choice. But he's a fantastic player and I'll miss watching him.

Unless Brazil move him then I’m not anticipating him having a good World Cup.
He struggles on the right for them.
