Think Fabregas would be incredible for you guys. Despite popular belief, he's not a natural "tiki taka" player, at Arsenal he used to get frustrated with pointless possession for extended periods of time - indeed, I believe it's the main reason for his relative lack of brilliance at Barca.

I disagree Chris.

He doesn't press well enough with enough pace or defensive responsibility and he doesn't move quickly enough across the ground.

We would have to fundamentally change style to get the best out of Fabregas. Barca are likely to want rid of him because they want to return to a more direct fast style under Enrique, away from the endless possession going nowhere of recent years.

with Henderson and Fabregas running the engine room and Fabregas supplying the front line, with Gerrard sweeping up behind seems a solid plan.

Just think everyone gets carried away with this thing about Cesc being a possession football type guy, when I wouldn't class him as that at all.

Remember how frustrated he used to get with Rosicky and Hleb constantly retaining possession and going backwards rather than trying to penetrate, hence why I think he'd be brilliant for Pool.

You may be right though that Henderson, Cesc & Gerrard probably wouldn't press and win the ball back enough for a top team.

Not that I think Cesc will leave. It will be yet another summer where he is, according the most red tops, certain to leave, and then goes on to make 40+ appearances for Barca next season yet again.

Coutinho & even Sturridge werent known for their work rates before they joined but Rodgers has them working for the team. He'll definitely get Fabregas to do the same no doubt.

I think Righteous is correct. The chances of us signing Cesc are negligible due to his wage demands.

Lallana unlikely according to echo unless hes forces it, shoukd know about can and moreno this week aswell

Im quite pleased to have Lambert as a 3rd/4th choice striker. Shrewd business from us....even took reduced wages to join us apparently

what a wonderful story though, it really is, from being released to going up the lower divisions and returning, quite beautiful really.

If, as everyone (apart from KLS) knows, Ilori is in fact Llori, can we use the same logic so that Lambert is I am Bert ?
