An injury to Laporte and city look shocking at the back.
Can’t believe poor Pep wasn’t allowed to spend even more money on top of the near 100 mil he spent on cancelo and Rodri in order to get a new centre back.

Interesting, because the "IRU thought markovic would be good" has been going on for 3? Years whenever i broach an opinion..
I dont complain, i did hope our scouts would have been correct, our coaching effective and he would kick on to be a worldie.. We are 5 weeks in and people are getting touchy about their summer whinging being highlighted!!
Perhaps it bothers me less because in both cases i have been more optimistic about the club and its players than others?

I think Klopp wanted Sancho but we couldnt get him and next season we will go for him. He is the type of player Klopp likes which is his speed and can score goals.
He had 2 assists against Leverkusen yesterday.
Granted all I’ve seen of him is his goal yesterday, but that run from the Southampton kid Djenepo was brilliant. They’ll probably want to give him to us as soon as we sell Wilson to Bournemouth
Sancho has a world record Man Utd signing written all over him imo, very much doubt he comes to us.
I saw a saints game earlier in the season where Djenepo played and thought he looked tidy. No idea if he’ll end up a success in the league though, that goal yesterday was superb though.
In all honesty, why would anyone like Sancho sign for Utd? He has the world st his feet. Could sign for any of the most successful and powerful teams. That’s not utd right now.
Utd are Maguire, mctominay, Fred, past it players like young, mata and matic.
Why would a kid with the world at his feet go there?
Could have said the same with Suarez really though. He was a well known talent, and had an excellent World Cup. He probably could have waited and a side like Barca or Juve would have come in for him but he joined us with konchesky and poulsen etc.
Was really only Gerrard who was left at that stage. Big sides have a draw, whether or not Sancho would be interested is anyone’s guess but United can still pull some players I’m sure.
Only way we will go for Sancho is if we make a significant sale and only 4 players fall in that category from our squad.

Whenever we get a star sale, im sure we will invest the money, but the club does generate cash otherwise, we just need to spend it wisely, and it does need to cover stadium expansions also.

No chance if they don't have Champions League though. Next summer Sancho will have multiple offers waiting for him. Not sure Suarez was in quite the same position, perhaps because playing in the Dutch league he hadn't really proved himself at that point.

Yeah this my point rather than the transfer fee. Hes already on 200k a week so the next move will be in the 350k mark. That rules us out because we already have players who are better than him on less than 200k. I reckon we will try and get Callum Hudson-Ocohi who still hasn't signed a contract and is on a free next summer.
CHO would be a great signing on a free.
Can't see Sancho going to either us or United. I actually see him staying abroad. It's worked well for him so far why change it.

Supposedly very close but it's been like that for a while. How many players sign new contracts when a bosman is waiting for them in the summer?

His main issue was playing time but hes probably been watching Frank out injured and is confident he will get his chance too.

Salah still being Salah with his crazy numbers...and you still feel like he still has some gears to go through.

Liverpool and Tottenham were the only teams which were interested.
Juve and Barca are only interested in players from the dutch league when they have proved them self in the CL.
Add the fact he had bit a PSV player and got a 8 games suspension.
Those were the arguments not to buy him at the time.
He's started this season so well, looks so sharp and hungry.

I think Klopp wanted Sancho but we couldnt get him and next season we will go for him. He is the type of player Klopp likes which is his speed and can score goals.
