We need to factor in the Leicester game on the 26 Dec as its our first game back here, we cant be flying players around after the League Cup tie to be involved in the final in Qatar

A weakened team could lose the semi so we`d be flying players to Qatar to play a third/fourth play off

We`ll be prioritising the CWC, the u21s will play Villa in my opinion

I’d refuse to play the Villa game. If the FA won’t support us when we’re representing the league then tell them to shove it.

Unfortunately if we do play the U21s we could be punished as we have to play a side that is 'consistent with other sides fielded throughout the tournament'.

So at least a handful of first team players will be behind, missing out on the chance of a trophy.

Apparently the club asked for them to keep the original date for the league cup tie. Seems weird to me.
