Nicolas Anelka: Everything was perfect when I arrived in Liverpool. The city, the spirit. The fans were really happy with me, and I was really happy to be there. English football made me feel alive. It was the perfect club for me. It could have helped me bounce back"
"But at the end of the season nothing happened. No opportunity to sign with Liverpool
That open door was for Liverpool. I said it time and time again that I wanted to sign with Liverpool. I waited but nothing happened. Fans think I didn't want to stay, but no"
"That wasn't the case. They need to know I really did. For me it was quite a tragic episode. It's a club where I think I could have achieved many things - great things
Speaking head in silhouette Nico's friend: When he got to LFC he told me "Sht, I've found what I've been looking for"
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think he had a falling out with either Houllier or Thompson if I remember correctly and Houllier wanted Diouf to replace him. I don't remember too many fans feeling it was Anelka that didn't want to stay, people were annoyed we didn't keep him.

Are you Wahl by any chance?
we should see who dortmund try to replace sancho with and nab him
So after Norwich leaked to the press today the press that we would have to pay double the £10m that we currently value Lewis at.
Now we’ve leaked this:
Liverpool have yet to open discussions with Norwich over Jamal Lewis. Norwich would have to reduce their demands significantly if the player is going to move to Liverpool. #lfc [the athletic]
Michael Edwards values Jamal Lewis at around £10m and is prepared to table an offer of £8m upfront, with a further £2m to potentially follow in add-ons. #lfc [the athletic]

edwards will probably make them give the money back to buy larouci

Great player. Still the only one to score hat tricks for 3 different teams in the PL
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I googled that stat.
“ Five players have each scored premier league hat-tricks for three different clubs: Yakubu (Blackburn Rovers, Everton and Portsmouth); Nicolas Anelka (Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City); Kevin Campbell (Arsenal, Everton and Nottingham Forest); Les Ferdinand (Newcastle United, Queens Park Rangers and Tottenham Hotspur) and Teddy Sheringham (Manchester United, Portsmouth and Tottenham Hotspur).”
Did Defoe not manage it? Would have thought he did with Spurs, Portsmouth and Sunderland
feed the yak and he will score!
Is that not true then? If not I demand a point in my pub quiz!!! I guessed Yakubu
Don’t I now look like a mug
Apparently Villa have bid £17m for Origi.

great news, would have favoured the totally legit financed side the most

Given that we get huge fees for players that may be pretty attractive to Norwich. Looks a solid signing.

No great surprise that #LFC's £10m offer for Jamal Lewis has been rejected. Norwich want double that figure.
