Speed, trickery you name it. Nothing close to that now in terms of turn of pace. He looks to be going the same way as Sturridge, gradually declining as a player as the injuries take their toll:

yeah im always hopeful OX can get back to that pre double ACL form but im not confident he will. If we can get most of the 35m paid for him back now id take it.

I like Gomez but i like Matip more and while he doesn't quite have the physicality of Gomez i think he is a much more intelligent and composed defender.
You're probably right regarding Keita and Thiago but me i'd go all out attack at first and save Hendo for later.
Gomez extra pace has done him no favours recently
I’m hoping we drop this high defensive line for the next two games and just try be more solid, even if it means sacrificing our attacking ability somewhat.
Gave away far too many chances and space last week. Do that again today we lose, simple as that, and probably quite heavily.
